SILENT DIFFERENCE – 崩壊の虚像

残響に流し込まれた憎悪
引き金から生まれる神話
信仰を試す亡者のワルツ
何を意味する胸の痛み

zankyou ni nagashi komareta zouo
hikigane kara umareru shinwa
shinkou o tamesu mouja no warutsu
nani o imi suru mune no itami

This hatred washed down into the echo
Is the myth born from a gunlock,
A waltz for the dead, testing their faith –
An anguish trying to hold a meaning

遮るの定義の破滅に切り裂かれた表情
苦しみの片隅で波打つ快感に満たされた症状

saegiru no teigi no hametsu ni kiri sakareta hyoujou
kurushimi no katasumi de namiutsu kaikan ni mitasareta shoujou

This expression tore in pieces by the destruction of the concept of obstruction
Is a symptom of fulfilling that pleasant feeling of dashing against the corner of pain

正気を感じぬ妄想
ドタマイカれた俺はサイコパス
石膏の偽骸から覗く
しゃぶり尽くされた至福の塔

shouki o kanjinu mousou
dotamaikareta ore wa saikopasu
sekkou no nise-mukuro kara nozoku
shaburi tsukusareta shifuku no tou

No sanity is felt in such delusion,
I am a psychopath
Peeping inside a fake corpse made of plaster
I saw the tower of bliss being chewed on

冷血に悪魔は笑う
群れる常識 猿の宴

reiketsu ni akuma wa warau
mureru joushiki saru no utage

Demons are smiling cold bloodedly
My common sense crowded like feasting primates

舞い散る耽美な貞操観念
逆十字の因果人
豚小屋から始まる
血を血で洗う盲目の愉悦

maichiru tanbina teisou kan’nen
gyaku juuji no ingajin
butagoya kara hajimaru
chi o chi de arau moumoku no yuetsu

My aesthetical sense of virtue slowly scatters down
I’m bound to such karma, on an upside-down cross
It began from a pigsty
This blind joy of washing away blood with other blood

煩悩蠢く規律の箱庭
挽歌で飾る正義論
死んだまま生かされて眠る
愚直なまでに木霊する願望

bon’nou ugomeku kiritsu no hakoniwa
banka de kazaru seigi-ron
shinda mama ikasarete nemuru
guchokuna made ni kodama suru ganbou

Klesha – gardens of crawling regulations
Theories of righteousness decorated by elegies
Brought back to life, asleep, from a state of death
With a desires echoing to the point it becomes stupidly true

隣人から奪われた思想
泥舟で渡る未来に明日を請う

rinjin kara ubawareta shisou
dorobune de wataru mirai ni asu o kou

My thoughts are stolen by those near me
Begging for a future I could cross with a mud boat

一瞬の過ちが
愛するもの全てを無に還す

isshun no ayamachi ga
aisuru mono subete o mu ni kaesu

The error of an instant
Returned everyone I loved into nothingness

崩れ落ちる瓦礫の花
忘却の果てに沈む太陽
立ち直れる頃には
誰も名前すら覚えていない

kuzure ochiru gareki no hana
boukyaku no hate ni shizumu taiyou
tachi naoreru koro ni wa
daremo namae sura oboeteinai

By the time
The crumbling down flower made of debris
Recovers under the Sun sinking down at the end of oblivion
It couldn’t remember not even a single name of anyone

沈黙を嫌う理想
狂える闇 嗚咽と今

chinmoku o kirau risou
kurueru yami oetsu to ima

My ideals hating on silence
Now – it weeps – a maddening darkness

女神の手が
産み出す朝は
理性を舌でなぞり絡ませ溶かす

megami no te ga
umidasu asa wa
risei o shita de nazori karamase tokasu

The hand of the goddess
And the morning she gave life to
Entwining and dissolving, her tongue tracing my reasons

I never want your tolerance.
I don’t believe you anymore.

女神の手が
産み出す愛に
吊るされ
滴る血でグラスを注ぐ

megami no te ga
umidasu ai ni
tsurusare
shitataru chi de gurasu o sosogu

Over the hanged
Love
Given birth by the hand of the goddess
Its dripping blood filling up a glass

異臭まみれの
動かぬ造形
瞼は閉じずに
剥き出しのまま…

ishuu mamire no
ugokanu zoukei
mabuta wa tojizu ni
mukidashi no mama…

The unmoving molding
Drenched in a foul smell
Stays bare, still
Without closing its eyelids…

Notes:

– Third stanza: ドタマイカ (dotamaika-(reta)) is a word I have no idea what means. I haven’t heard it before, couldn’t find anything online / dictionaries. The verb appears in katakana, the Japanese “alphabet” for writing foreign words as well as marking some words just like our CAPS LOCK does. The part “reta” coming after it makes it like a verb, and if we take “ore” (“me”, “I”) coming after it, it’s like it says “The me who was [dotamaika]”. So, we know the function of this word, but not its meaning. Being its function merely adjectival, the remaining sections don’t suffer much change. So I’m simply leaving the word out of my translation, but if anyone has some kind of idea about what that word could mean, please leave a comment! It’ll help a lot.
– Sixth stanza: Klesha (煩悩) is buddhist concept involving polluting and dark thoughts such as hatred, envy, delusion or greed taking over someone’s mind and causing them to suffer.

SILENT DIFFERENCE – 翻弄

My rottin finger tip was lost the sense of touch.
My heart breaks and can not walk. I’m cripple.
The food does only taste of the ash everyday.
I want to delete all my memory.

I was played with.
My grudge don’t clear.

You killed me. However, why can you live laughingly?
You said 「I love you」many times, but what was that?
Do you know how about I suffer and writhed?
I can believe nobody anymore.

手招く冷気 縋る羅列の空 甘美な夜に閉ざされた

temaneku reiki sugaru raretsu no sora kanbi na yoru ni tozasareta

I was locked away by a beckoning cold, a sky bound to numbers, a sweet night

熟れた 傷は 書き写された敗色と
今も 落ちてゆく部屋の中

ureta kizu wa kaki utsusareta haishoku to
ima mo ochite yuku heya no naka

As signs of defeat are transcribed over my seemingly healed wounds
I feel like falling again, right now, inside this room

迫り来るに壊刻に 嘲け嗤う現実
ほら 聞こえるか 断蔑の声が
信じていた絆は 手を離せば消えてゆく
溢れ出す血の涙

semari kuru ni kaikoku ni azakewarau genjitsu
hora kikoeru ka danbetsu no koe ga
shinjiteita kizuna wa te o hanaseba kiete yuku
afuredasu chi no namida

Reality is laughing at me as destruction draws near
Can’t you hear these voices of disdain?
The bound I believed in will disappear the moment I let it go
Leaving overflowing, blood-stained tears

Do you remember what you said to me?
My scar make endless grief.

棘の時雨 逆向きの瞳孔
馴れ合いだらけで 何も無い

ibara no shigure gyaku-muki no doukou
nareai darake de nani mo nai

Averting my pupils from this drizzle of thorns
There’s nothing in here but this oppressing liaison

濡れた 君と モザイクの花が散らばる死の塔
溜め息さえ突き抜けた
呻く脈は 切り刻まれた敗色と
忌まわしき明日を描く

nureta kimi to mozaiku no hana ga chirabaru shi no tou
tameiki sae tsuki nuketa
umeku myaku wa kiri kizamareta haishoku to
imawashiki asu o egaku

You, wet all over, and a death pagoda made of scattered flower’s mosaics
A sight which pierced all the way through my own sighs
It’s drawing the shape of an abominable tomorrow
Along with this sense of failure mincing my moaning pulses

艶やかな指先で 投げ交わした幻想
ほら 聞こえるか 胸裂く悲鳴が
生え変わる人格に踊らされて今気付く
信じることに意味など無い

adeyakana yubisaki de nage kawashita gensou
hora kikoeru ka mune saku himei ga
haekawaru jinkaku ni odorasete ima kidzuku
shinjiru koto ni imi nado nai

We were throwing each other such bewitching illusions with our fingertips
But can you hear it? Can you hear this heart-ripping shriek?
I’ve just realized we’re being manipulated, our lives replaced one by one
There’s no such thing as a reason to have faith

有りふれた空に 迸る汚れ無き産声は
潰され I died by your selfish evildoing…

arifureta sora ni hotobashiru yogorenaki ubugoe wa
tsubusare I died by your selfish evildoing…

Under the usual, unchanged sky, the gushing sinless cry of a newborn
Is being shut down; I died by your selfish evildoing…

Notes:

– Much like any other song by SILENT DIFFERENCE, the english sections aren’t really… perfect. I’ve transcribed the lyrics from the booklet and kept any typing mistake featured in it, as always.
– On the second to last stanza, the verb “haekawaru” actually means “to be replaced with new growth”, and it’s of course used when speaking of plants (being “haeru” a plant-only verb). In this song I think it’s refering to the growth of humans, aging and dying just to be replaced with new ones, all over again. I’ve also translated “shinjiru” (“to trust”, “to believe”) as “to have faith”, to give the last sentence a less confusing meaning (keep in mind it’s just my interpretation).

LA KIA with しるへい – Cradle of peace hourglass

一つ一つ落ちる砂のような
当たり前の「現在」に触れる意味を
幽闇を解き放く笑い声も
歩み止め鬱ぎ吟う悲愴の音も

hitotsu hitotsu ochiru suna no you na
atari mae no “ima” ni fureru imi o
yuuan o toki saku warai koe mo
ayumi tome fusagi utau hisou no ne mo

The meaning I can feel for such ordinary “present”
Is crumbling down piece by piece, just like sand
Even the laughing voice setting me free from this dark confinement
Stopped its march to a miserable song of sorrowful notes

全ては命ある者へ与えられた刻
それなのにこの手の鼓動
背負い生まれた理由を天に問いかける

subete wa mei aru mono e ataerareta koku
sore na no ni kono te no kodou
seoi umareta riyuu o ten ni toi kakeru

All of this is the time given to those with a life
Yet a throbbing flows through my hands, so I’ll ask the Heavens
For an answer to this newborn reason I’ve been carrying along

なぜこの身を授かり前を探りながら進むか
答えなど無いことならわかってるのに

naze kono mi o sazukari mae o saguri nagara susumu ka
kotae nado nai koto nara wakatteru no ni

Why should I move on while searching for what I was before I had this body of mine granted?
And I know, I know there’s no such answer to it…

全ては憂き世の理で霧海の森へ
その中の無慈悲な眼で何度傷をかき乱されたか
誰も知らない

subete wa uki-yo no ri de mukai no mori e
sono naka no mujihi na me de nando kizu o kaki midasareta ka
daremo shiranai

Everything is a proof of such fleeting, melancholic world moving towards forests of deep mist
Just how many wounds have those ruthless eyes inside it inflicted to me?
No one knows

なぜ心を授かり振り向けど進むのか
答えはつくるものだとわかってるのに

naze kokoro o sazukari furi muke do susumu no ka
kotae wa tsukuru mono da to wakatteru no ni

Why am I moving forward turning my back to the heart I’ve been granted?
But I know any answer would just be a made up inconsistency

Cradle of peace hourglass

Notes:

– First stanza: the “feel” in the first line is a translation for 触れる (“fureru”), so it stands for “to touch”.
– First stanza: 現在 (“genzai”, “present”) is read as 今 (“ima”, “now”).
– Lots of words in this song are read with their on-yomi (Chinese reading) instead of their kun-yomi (Japanese reading). Like “命” (“mei”) in the first stanza, which should be read as “inochi”.
– The third stanza starts with “naze kono mi”, but in the booklet there’s no “naze” wrote down. I wrote it anyway in the transcribed lyrics because there’s no doubt she’s saying it.
– The fourth stanza plays a pun over “ukiyo” (as in Ukiyo-e) (浮世) meaning “fleeting world”, refering to the link I’ve left, changing “uku” of “to float” with “uki” (憂き) meaning “sad”, “melancholic”.
– The reading for 霧海 on the fourth stanza should be “bukai” or “mukai”. I’ve left “Mukai”, but I’m not sure about it. Also, if it’s “Mukai”, than it could be a wordplay with 向かい (mukai), meaning “to face”, possibly refering to the direction, as “the forest I’m facing / I’m about to go into”.
