[REQUEST] CLOCKWORKS TRACER – Eschatologia e.p. (Revelations, Day of Nemesis, Paradise Lost)

【This E.P. was requested by Eiki

Remember the previous double post from Shangri-La in Bloom? Brace yourself, the record has been beaten: Today’s post is a triple post!
Well, I got a whole E.P. requested, that means I have to post all the three songs in it, right? Why three posts, then?
I mean, lyrics are mostly in english and the third one is fully in english, let’s just post them all at once.
Let’s just split the three songs in three sections, and keep writing stuff there.
I’ll follow the E.P. Order: Revelations, Day of Nemesis and Paradise Lost.

CLOCKWORKS TRACER – Revelations

ESCH01

First song is Revelations, an arrange from Faith is for Transient People.
You can hear a spectacular WheatherH in this. Damn, those high notes.
I also have to point out a thing in this section, but counts for the others too. Thanks to Alv for sending me the lyrics for this E.P.
Even though it was a request, I wanted to translate it myself, and I struggled a lot (without results) searching for its booklet online.
So thanks a lot!
I’d say that Revelations is my favourite from this E.P., and as I stated before, it’s probably due WeatherH’s amazing vocals.
Also, looks like CLOCKWORK TRACERS are going to be at the upcoming reitaisai. Good news! More stuff! Maybe I should change this wordpress’ name into something like “Clockwork Tracers and stuff”.
Mh.

CLOCKWORK TRACERS – Revelations

nigori kumoru sono manako ni
utsushita ayamachi ni kidzukazu
wazuka ni sasagu inori sura
onore no ashi de fuminijiru

I can’t notice the indiscrections reflected
In those turbid, hazy eyes;
If only I could offer my prayers a bit
I would crush you with my own feet.

You can only receive this revelation
Doomsday will come there

Can you hear the seventh trumpet sounding?
This is the retribution for fuckin’ breach

katakuna ni mimi o fusagi
sukui no te wa furi haraware
me o somuketa shinjitsu wa
kaigi to moushin no hazama

I shake off the hand of salvation
As voices stubbornly occupies my ears;
The truth that goes against my sight
Lies in the threshold of credulity and skepticism

sekai o oou saiyaku ni
tsuki wa kakete hoshi wa ochiyuku
saigo ni nokoru namida sae
jihi naki ame ga saratteiku

In the world covered by disasters
The moon lowers and the stars slowly die;
Even the tears that lasted until the end
Are being washed away by a merciless rain.

ryou no te ni kakaeta kibou mo zetsubou mo
kakera mo nokosazu kobore ochita

The hope and the despair held by both my arms
Scatter away without leaving not even a single fragment…

No one can save this world!!

hitomi tozashita sekai yo
nanimo kamo hajikete kiero
nana no sanbi ga michibiku
mikami no keiji o kono te ni

It’s a world that shut its eyes:
Everything will just burst open and disappear;
The seven glorifications will lead my way:
I’ll take this divine revelation with my hands!

Notes:

– 己 (onore) it’s quite a fitting choice. It could mean both an old version for “oneself”, both first or second person, but also “snake”. You know, This is Sanae‘s theme, and she can rely to a certain snake…
…I wanted to point that out, but I choose not to add “snake” to my translation. I mean, snakes don’t have feet. Also, “my own feet” implies both her and the God’s feet, as if she’s invoking an entity. I left “my”, but it’s unclear whether it’s talking about her foot or her Gods’ foot.
– 頑なに耳を塞ぎ (katakuna ni mimi o fusagi) I translated this as “voices stubbornly occupies my ears”, while there’s no “voice” in this. That’s just because “stubbornly occupies my ears” doesn’t have neither a subject or a sense. So, what fills one’s ears? Obviously voices, thoughts, callings. I just added it because it’s implied.
– 堕ち逝く (ochiyuku) means “to fall”, but in this song it’s written with different kanjis. 逝く (yuku) which should mean “to go”, means “to die”, so that’s how I translated it. The same pun on the workd “iku” was made on a certain Touhou theme
– 七の賛美 (nana no sanbi) “the seven glorifications”. I’m sorry, but not even japanese wikipedia can tell me what the hell those are… Just thought of them as “religious stuff”. Yeah. That works.

CLOCKWORKS TRACER – Day of Nemesis

ESCH02

Compared to the previous one, Day of Nemesis is way more strong and kind of violent in terms of rhythm.
Actually, the whole E.P. is like a stairway that becomes more and more aggressive as it goes on, at least that’s what I felt listening to it.
Also, again in my opinion, the songs are also ordered fitting to my tastes.
Revelations, than this, than the other. It doesn’t mean I don’t like the other two, I just placed them in order.
Anyway, Day of Nemesis is one heck of a good arrange from Fate of Sixty Years.
A thing that always catches my attention (and makes my heart go dokidoki) is when arrangers put the Theme of Eastern Story inside their arranges, just like ZUN would do. That’s amazing and it totally fits with the Touhou spirit.
You can hear a guitar riff of Theme of Eastern Story around 1:33 on this song.
I love CLOCKWORK TRACERS also for this little thing. That’s not the first time they add it to another unrelated song! Way to go, Yapan!

CLOCKWORK TRACERS- Day of Nemesis

Don’t look away and take that, you bastard!!

Unjust offense, injurious oppression
Suffering you gave arrests and don’t leave me
Never forget, the time to revenge will come

narihibiku houfuku no kane no ne
shinri to jouri no shin o

The sound of the reverbering bell of retribution
Announces the judgement of truth and reason!

nanimokamo kowareru sono mae ni
tachiagari sakebu koe no kagiri
hanate kono omoi

Just before destroying anything and everything
Release this desire of yours
And stand until your screaming voice runs out.

Remorse is lost
Remorse is fuckin’ lost

Break!!

naritomanu houfuku no kane no ne
shinri to jouri no shin o ima

The sound of the unceasing bell of retribution
Announces now the judgement of truth and reason!

nanimo kamo kuzureru sono mae ni
tachi agari kesshite make wa shinai
seigi o te ni shite hanate kono omoi

Just before demolishing anything and everything
I’ll stand up and grasp the justice firmly
So I’ll set free my wish to never lose!

Notes:

– First and second stanza could be related, because the first one ends with “wo”, without a verb. I used “announce” because if it was meant to be a stand-alone stanza, then it means the verb is omitted because obvious.
– On the first stanza there’s what seems to be a pun. The word 真理 (shinri) meaning “truth” has the same pronunciation as the word 審理 (shinri), meaning “trial”, “judgement”. You know, we’re talking about Eiki-sama.
– As you noticed, the subject changes from the second japanese stanza to the fourth. That’s because there’s nothing that points out who’s the subject. In other words, while the meaning stays the same, the subject could probably change according to the way one reads the lyrics.

CLOCKWORKS TRACER – Paradise Lost

ESCH03

So, last one from this post is a full-Yapan full-english song.
It’s an arrange from Yoshika‘s Theme, Rigid Paradise, a theme which I can’t even listen to anymore without thinking of indians dancing to Michael Jackson‘s Thriller‘s indian ripoff. And I’m talking about THIS.
Anyway, let’s play a game.
Do not read the lyrics and open the link to listen to this song, then try to write down what you hear.
Now that you’re finished, compare the two lyrics sheet and enjoy!
(just kidding I love Yapan and his engrish and this song and CLOCKWORK TRACERS and WheaterH which doesn’t even sing in this song and everyone and pizza and the smell of dry rain and whatdafaqamIeventyping)
Also, I think that might be the most fitting pic I’ve ever found for a post. I mean, seriously. It’s like it was made just for this song!
And that concludes Eschatologia E.P., but doesn’t conclude CLOCKWORK TRACERS, of course.
Enjoy!

CLOCKWORKS TRACER – Paradise Lost

That’s enough to talk pompously
Can we just drop this bullshit?
What you’ve built up is false immortality, fuck it all!!

Forbidden fruits, sweet temptation
Evil wisdom tempts with a luscious talk
Transient fame tastes like a fortune
Bridge to the paradise was burned forever

Could never take it back
Exile like the paradise lost

Banishment from unspoken ethic and understandings
Punishment from unbroken lyrics and musics
Now what? Next you’re about to live on youthful gifts
Who the hell do you think you are?

Wake up right now!!

Break shit!!

Could never take it back
Exile like the paradise lost
One more fuck!!
Could never take it back
Exile like the paradise lost

What you’ve built up is false immortality, destroy and fuck it all!!

Paradise fuckin’ lost

CLOCKWORKS TRACER – Behind The Wall Of Apathy

apathy

CLOCKWORKS TRACER – Behind The Wall Of Apathy

Our sight was blinded by this wall
And caused the gentle perdition

True indifference calls the tragedy
Spilling vessel of the sentiment
Fury, sorrow, grief and delight
Spitting all of them out

aa itsuwari to mayakashi no
fukuin ga maneita saiyaku ni dakare

Aah, I’m forced to embrace the disaster
Of beckoning gospels of deception and falsehood…

As I can’t feel anything, in the midst of the idle time…

Breaking point of this closure is never discovered
Freedom is lost, precious is gone
Our hopes come to fall slowly

mukanjou no kabe no sono ura kara
odayaka ni kuzure yuku sekai mitsumete
futashika na anraku to taida yo
henkaku o nozomu nara ima koso tate

If you wish for an upheaval, get up and stop
Staring at the uncertain darkness and laziness
Of the world crumbling in quietness
From behind the wall of apathy!

Lost emotion becomes the wall
Lost emotion returns to nothing

aa itsuwari to mayakashi no

Aah, I’m forced to embrace the disaster
Of beckoning gospels of deception and falsehood…

As I can’t hear anything, surrounded by a fence of ignorance…

mukanjou no kabe no sono ura kara
yuruyaka ni kuzure yuku kibou nakushite
imi no nai ansoku to daraku yo
asu e to mukau kokoro torimodoshite

I’ll take back my heart facing tomorrow
Losing my meaningless rest and corruption
Of the hope that slowly crumbles away
From behind the wall of apathy!

Break the apathy!!

Notes:

– Lyrics courtesy of Violet!
– The four-lines japanese-full first stanza has been difficult to translate. I have changed the placement of each line in order to keep the meaning of the whole stanza, and I added “stop” where it’s not said, but it’s implied. Couldn’t find a better way to do it!
– Same goes for the last japanese stanza, which has the exact same structure / translation system. I’m guessing it’s refering to Kokoro’s character development, which, unable to find her old mask of hope, fights to find a new way to get the hope right back inside her own heart.

CLOCKWORKS TRACER – Shangri-La in Bloom Last Post: The Anonymous Song & Clockwork Tracers -rebloom-

So, as I stated on a previous post, only two songs from Shangri-La in Bloom are left. We’re talking about Clockwork Tracers -rebloom- and The Anonymous Song (also, there’s an interlude too… but it’s an instrumental, so…).
Being two songs mostly in english (so, that’s not quite our usual translation posts), I’ve decided to post them together in a single post.
Ladies and gentlemen, the first ever double-post in foregroundnoises‘ history!

CLOCKWORK TRACERS – The Anonymous Song

anonymous

So, the first one for this post will be The Anonymous Song. This one has no japanese lyrics, so I’ll just leave its english lyrics untouched.
An arrange from a theme that I personally like a lot, Song of the Night Sparrow ~ Night Bird.
That’s one of the best stage theme in the whole Touhou series, in my opinion.
I would have love it if it was fully in japanese. And that’s not because I don’t like english songs. I have more english songs than japanese songs in my iPod!
As I said before… I’m not really a fan of engrish.

CLOCKWORK TRACERS – The Anonymous Song

Take flight and fuck up!

Darkness descends faster than a light
This Oppression makes us suffer and conquers the weak
Before I lose anymore, we must struggle against the coercion now

Sharpen all your senses
It’s so easy to feel my existence
There is only the truth “We’re not alone”
This is the time to fuckin’ unite
This is the flight to the freedom

Light for the blinded eyes!(Take aim our target at)
Fight for the frightened mind!(We’re legion)
The true shine casts rays on the false blindness
So here I am
Light for the blinded eyes!(Take aim our target at)
Fight for the frightened mind!(We’re legion)
Someday I’ll take you to that sky with a little hope

Start the insurrection, light a counter rocket
Enemies are within our hearts
Trust ourselves, confide in yourself
Strain your eyes, this is our way to go

Light for the blinded eyes!(Take aim our target at)
Fight for the frightened mind!(We’re legion)
The true shine casts rays on the false blindness
So here I am
Light for the blinded eyes!(Take aim our target at)
Fight for the frightened mind!(We’re legion)
Someday I’ll take you to that sky, so please follow me
Ah…

CLOCKWORK TRACERS – Clockwork Tracers -rebloom-

clockwork

Lunar Clock ~ Luna Dial. I love its arranges while I don’t find the original theme that appealing.
I must say, I prefer Flowering Night a lot! But when it comes to arranges, it’s the opposite.
Just as the other song, this one is mostly in english too.
WeatherH has 2 japanese stanzas, while Yapan fully screams in english. (My bad, actually in this track the screams are performed by さわけん (Sawaken) [Virginhate].
Just as Drowning Emotion Has A Short-lived Dream, this song has “rebloom” in its title.
I’m guessing they’re remake of songs they’ve already done on other CDs / original works. But since finding Clockwork Tracers stuff online is almost impossible, I can’t guarantee it.
On a side now, I decided to leave this one for last (Though I wanted it to be This Is Who I Am) because having in the title the name of the band, it kinda feels like it has not a “final boss” vibe but rather a “staff roll” theme vibe. Don’t you think? No, ok… I’m just crazy.

CLOCKWORK TRACERS – Clockwork Tracers -rebloom-

The stopped time since who-knows-when, a second hand misdirects
It stayed broken
winding up with her hand, gears began to mesh
The dial starts to move slowly

Oh god, the demise is not on your hand
Damn it! I’ll stab this fate to fall!

Elegance for the lifeless, perfection for the pledge
Vanish the mirage
Edges for the tyranny, acing for the allegiance
Tracing beyond the end of my world

itetsuku sekai no naka ni shirogane saku karakuri
tomosu hiiro o yadoshi ugokidasu

In the frozen up world, a tore apart silver mechanism
Carries a scarlet light as it moves on…

Tear it up!!

(In bloom)

jikan shikake no kono mi ni owari no nai chikai o
kizamu hari tomaru made yoru ni saite (in bloom)

In this clockwork body of mine, I’ll make this endless oath
Bloom in the night, until the engraved clockhand stops (in bloom)

Notes:

– “Frozen up World” in the first stanza, I mean it to be “A world where the time is stopped, thus is frozen”. Obvious reference to Sakuya.
– Also, probably the first stanza refers to Sakuya (the silver mechanism) meeting with Remilia (the scarlet light)
– 夜に咲いて (yoru ni saite) I think that may be a pun on Sakuya’s name, wrote with the same kanjis (咲夜), meaning “Night of bloom” or “Blooming night”.
– According to the official lyrics, the text is like that. But the first stanza is actually repeated two time: one during the first half, and the other on the last half of the song. The last stanza is repeated only once.

Thanks again to Yapan, Clockwork Tracers’ leader, for sending me this amazing CD’s lyrics via mail. It’s not something you see everyday, and I really apreciate his kindness. Let’s keep supporting this amazing circle!
And who knows, more Clockwork Tracers posts will come out in the future…

CLOCKWORKS TRACER – This Is Who I Am

whoiam

We’re almost done with Shangri-La in Bloom.
With this one, only two tracks are left. This is Who I Am is the last track (in order) from that CD, and, at least to me, it kinda has that “last song of an album” vibe. I’d wish to leave this last, but I’ve decided not to, for another reason.
The two remaining songs are mostly 100% in english, so, I’ll post them together in a single post very soon. Being not a “translation post” (or quite much it), I prefered leave the remaining two for last, though I noticed that there are some people wanting to read their lyrics.
So fear not, they’ll pop out on foregroundnoises in a couple of days!
As I stated before, this song is an amazing entry to Shangri-La in Bloom, one of my favourite touhou doujin CDs ever.
Being an arrange from Oriental Memory of Foregathering Dream, Immaterial and Missing Power‘s staff roll theme, it surely got the right vibe.

CLOCKWORKS TRACER – This Is Who I Am

The thing I’ve lost that day was without a doubt something inside my casual daily life;
That unstoppable violent throb inside my chest is calling me…
And now, it is (just go) pushing me (for it) from the miniature garden
Towards what lies before reality!

CLOCKWORKS TRACER – Anthem (For The Fallen Affection)

okuu

With this, only 3 songs left to complete Shangri-La in Bloom. Nice!
Anthem (For The Fallen Affection) is the opening song from the CD, so it kinda feels out of place that I’ve translated it only now.
But there’s no logic in my translations’ order, so it’s okay.
So, that’s an arrange from Nuclear Fusion, a theme that I don’t dislike but I don’t like that much either. I think it’s really appropriate both to Okuu and her stage overall.
But outside the game, is not one of those themes that I’d like to listen to.
I also think that while Okuu’s fight is pretty damn epic (and hella difficult) it’s not very final-boss-ish, and I really don’t know why.
Anyway, there’s no such thing as “dislike” when it comes to Touhou. I just happen to “dislike” common thoughts from fans (for example those who say “Septette for a Dead Princess? BEST TUHU THEME!!11″… seriously? Are you serious? That’s a joke, right?)
Anyway, let’s avoid changing the topic.
Just as Okuu’s theme, this songs stands between the border of “not bad” and “not a masterpiece”, at least to me. Though WeatherH is always amazing.
It’s a good song, but not the best from the album. But again, those are only personal thoughts I’m writing for the sole purpose to fill up some space before posting the lyrics. Come to think about it, I should probably only write a line of random words just to make people think I’m witty enough to write something before translating. So, here’s the random word line:
tits tits tits tits tits tits tits tits tits tits tits tits tits tits tits tits. (because tits will bring views to this wordpress, obv.)

azawarawareta sadame ima uchinuku
aragau wa zetsubou yakare kuchiru made
anata ga kureta kokoro sae chiri to nokoranai to shite mo
itsuka no hi no terasu basho o ima torimodosu kara

Now I’ll get rid of the destiny that ridiculed me,
What I’m fighting, is despair; Until it’ll rot as I burn it,
I’ll protect the heart you gave me even if it’ll turn to dust…
For I’ll take back the radiant place back from that day…

Notes:

– 接吻る傷跡 (kuchidzukeru kizuato) according to the official lyrics, its written like that. However, 接吻 is not read as “kuchidzuke” to begin with. It is read as “seppun”, which means “kiss”, just like “kuchidzukeru”.
– 貴女がくれたその全て 私が守るから (anata ga kureta sono subete watashi ga mamoru kara) two things on this. First one being “anata” wrote with the kanji for “woman” (女). So, the word stays “you”, but it implies that we’re talking about a woman (wow, what an intelligente note, considering there’s no such thing as a male in Gensokyo).
Second one is the final “kara”, which implies “because”, “so”, refering to something that is so obvious the speaker doesn’t want to say.
For example, “I will protect everything you gave me, so(kara)…” Could be “…fear not”, or “don’t worry”.
Also, let’s point out that I translated this song FUCKING TWICE. Thanks, unnecessary blackout that made my time spent on translating go to waste.

[REQUEST] CLOCKWORKS TRACER – Tartarus

tartarus

【Requested by Alv

Still goin’ with Clockworks Tracer‘s tracks, and this time is not from Shangri-La in Bloom. I promise I’ll keep translating it in 2-3 posts, but for now, I’ve been requested another song by them: Tartarus.
Even though I say I like Clockworks Tracer, it doesn’t mean I’ve listened to every song by them.
For instance, I’ve never heard of this one before. And it’s very good.
But it’s, like, impossible to find it online. It’s like this song doesn’t exists. And I really don’t know why when a doujin circle is good, it’s always hard to find their works online.
This song in particular was almost impossible to find.
It’s one heck of a good arrange from Desire Drive, and probably one of the greatest out there.
Just like most of Clockwork Tracers’ songs, it is mostly in english. That “idon’tknowitwasinenglishuntilireaditslyrics” english, typical of japanese people. Oh, Japan.
And it’s all sung by Yapan. No WeatherH, no anyone else. It’s actually very different from the songs in other albums from the same circle. But I like it.
While Tartarus was the son of Chaos, god of destruction, this word makes me think only about Persona 3… and Toothpaste, for some reason.

CLOCKWORK TRACERS – Tartarus

This is my fate to fall!!

On this painful and steep journey many a salvation I’ve left without been noticed
The anguish only in my sight have stabbed my immature heart and torn it down
Slowly I came to lose the ability to tell each other, and was pushed off the depths of despair

All the same, that infernal flame you gave birth keeps on blazing furiously
On each case, this internal blame I take invites to a downfall curiously
Even if your betrayal is spun into oblivion easily, I’ll never forgive and forget

Tartarus

sink to nigori shizumu yodomi no naka de
tobira no mukou machiukeru sokonashi no
kutsuu ga temaneku tartarus

Sink to the insides of the ground’s murkiness
My heart burns and rots, just to make me unable to deal with my nausea;
As I await before the gate for the beckoning
endless agony: Tartarus.

Bring me down!!

Thick as wall, that barrier continues to block my path
This closure suggests to the disclosure of my powerlessness

Like flames of hell, the malice burns me to the ground

“mou ichido, mou ichido dake yarinaoseru nara”
asahaka na negai dake ga are hateta kokoro ni uzumaite kensou no naka e to kiete yuku

In the last instant my heart already wore out, my knees ended up breaking already;
There’s nothing left at the end of this journey painted in self-hatred except for pointless regrets:
“One more time… just let me do it again one more time”
Only foolish desires whirl in my heart fallen into ruin, as they disappear into the sorrounding tumult.

Curtain fall

tobira wa hirakare nukedasu koto no kanawanu
kutsuu ga temaneku sekai e curtain fall

Sink to the insides of the ground’s murkiness
My heart burns and rots, just to make me unable to deal with my nausea;
The gate is opened, but the agony won’t let me
break out from it, beckoning me into his world.
Curtain fall.

– At the beginning, it says “SINK TO” in english, but just after that, he repeats the verb “沈む” (shizumu) which, again, means “to sink”. So, I left the english words and added the actual translation of only the japanese part.
– 灼 is a strange kanji. It’s the simplified version of 焼 (yaku) which means burn (which is not used in japanese). For some reason, this kanji was written in chinese instead of japanese. Though, it could be a simple transcription error.
– The ending is strange. Again, I wasn’t able to fit the “curtain fall” with the japanese sentences, so I left out of it. What I meant to translate was something like “A curtain falls on the world (…)”, but doing this way I’d end up fixing the english text in the original lyrics. So I left it out of the sentence in order to keep the “Curtain fall” just like the song does.

CLOCKWORKS TRACER – Anamnesis

kazami

One of Shangri-La in Bloom‘s (and other CLOCKWORK TRACERS‘ tracks) characteristic is that there’s english everywhere. In this album, for instance, there is a song completely in english and another one mostly in english.
I’ll post every song from this album without rushing things, but I think I’ll leave those two semi-full english songs at the very end.
For now, I’d like to focus more on songs which have more japanese stanzas rather than english ones.
Anamnesis is a good example. For how much I like this song, I don’t think it’s the best from the album. It’s an arrange from Flower Land, PoFV Yuuka‘s Theme.
Some probably noticed that Yuuka is on portrayed on Shangri-La in Bloom’s cover. I don’t know but sometimes when a certain character is portrayed on a CD cover, I usually end up thinking “So, the arrange of the theme of the character on the cover in this CD should be the CD’s signature song, right?”
…I mean, It’s pretty obvious, isn’t it?
Well, I don’t think Anamnesis fits the role. I mean, I like every single song from this CD, but I still can’t figure out if they meant to place Yuuka on the cover because of this song or for other reasons…
Also, Lost Horizon is one of the book I like the most, and I can assure you that the utopian city of Shangri-La pictured in that book has pretty much nothing to do with youkai freaks holding human skulls .

CLOCKWORK TRACER – Anamnesis

hiroiageta inochi no tomoshibi
monokuro no sekai o someageru
karamitsuku tomadoi mo tsubomi ni
hane hiroge tobitatsu hi o machiwabite

The light held by the life I picked up
Painted my monochromatic world in colors;
Twining myself around a bud of confusion
I spread my wings, tired of waiting the day of my flight

Outblooming now, beyond that horizon
Outblooming now!

aishita no wa sugisarishi koukei
tada hanamuke no kotoba o
chiri iku sadame datta to shitemo aratana tomoshibi o nokoshite

What I used to love was a scenery now gone
Only farewell words are left.
Even if their destiny was to fall and pass away, a new light has been left…

Remember that we shall die
However our memories are not fuckin’ dead

Outblooming now, beyond that horizon
Outblooming now!

aishita no wa sugisarishi koukei
tada hanamuke no kotoba o
chiri iku sadame datta to shitemo aratana tomoshibi ga ima

What I used to love was a scenery now gone
Only farewell words are left.
Even if their destiny was to fall and pass away, now there’s a new light.

ano hi no egao to namida ni ima kono tamuke no hanataba o
kioku sura kare ochita to shite mo omoi dake wa sakihokoru kara
zutto soko ni

I’ll now offer this bouquet to the smiles and the tears from that day
Even if memories will wither and fall, this sole feeling will bloom fully…
Forever, right there…

CLOCKWORK TRACER – Everlasting [S]tory

hijiiri2

Second post from Shangri-La in Bloom by CLOCKWORK TRACER, Everlasting [S]tory.
I think that this one and the other one I already translated (Drowning Emotion has a short-lived Dream -Rebloom-) are my two favourite songs from this album. But I still can’t figure out which I like more.
This song is mostly in english (or engrish, if you would) and it’s awesome. I really love Emotional Skyscraper ~ Cosmic Mind, and I think it’s one of the best Touhou theme ever composed.
For some reason, its arrange are always pretty good. I loved arranges of this theme such as Four Seasons of Loneliness, 夢と現の摩天楼 or 蓮華花火, but Everlasting [S]tory, is still the one I like the most between them.
It perfectly fits with Byakuren‘s character’s background and story, and also with Unidentified Fantastic Object‘s vibe overall. Did I also mention that UFO is one of the Touhou game I love the most? I think it’s one of the few chapters to be perfectly complete: awesome OSTs, nice characters, good story, amazing atmosphere. It’s still battling between my other two favourite chapters: Imperishable Night and Double Dealing Character.
Oh, and yeah, in some part of this song you can also hear Fires of Hokkai, UFO’s stage 6 theme!
As I stated on the other post, I’d really like to make more people know this circle (and this album) because it’s really good and pretty unknown. Also, Yapan sent me the lyrics from the booklet for free, gently answering to my email. He’s amazing.
Oh and, listen to WeatherH‘s vocal on this track. She can hit some real high notes and has a voice that could send chills down the spine of the best hard rock singers out there. It’s just amazing.

CLOCKWORK TRACER – Everlasting [S]tory

Fuckin’ turn this page to change the world
Fuckin’ get back the feeling over the sky (x2)

The prologue ends!
There’s full of warm light
It’s like an awakening from the eternal slumber

sepia ni irodzuku omoide ga mune o shimetsukeru
anata wa imademo onaji yume o miteiru no?

Memories painted in sepia-color tightens my chest;
Are you still having that same dream from back than?

Inside my wakeless sleep, I’ll keep walking to continue
That distant voyage, under the eternal unchanging sky…

It’s my precious dream across the universe
This isn’t the “Last sweet romance”
There’s no fuckin’ god!

Your betrayal left behind the deep wound that day
Where is a salvation from this abyss? Where is the best answer?
The monologue only vanished into chaos
This story will go on until the happy ending

Now is the time to enter the next chapter!

yaburisuteta kako de sae mo aiseru you ni
Now is the time to enter the next chapter!

Even in that tore-apart past, as if I’m loved…
Now is the time to enter the next chapter!

Story

kuzuresatta risou mo nagareochita namida sae
hatenaki Story

Even collapsed ideals, even tears running down,
Right now, everything is overflowing from inside my heart!
Inside my wakeless sleep, I’ll keep walking to continue
That distant voyage, under the eternal unchanging sky…
An everlasting story…

Notes:

– “Dream from back than” at the beginning of the translated part… actually there’s no “from back than”. But it clearly says 今でも(imademo) meaning “even now”. So it’s pretty obvious is talking about something that used to be there before, thus I think “from back than” is perfectly fine.
– 胸 (mune) appears in two stanzas, the first and the last. This word can mean “chest” as well as “heart” (also tits, huehuehu). In the first stanza, I prefered to leave “chest”, being the verb “thighten” way more fitting imho. On the last stanza, I prefered to use “heart”, being more emotive and talking about reminescences. I think it’s more appropriate.

CLOCKWORK TRACER – Drowning Emotion Has A Short-lived Dream -Rebloom-

Nitori

I felt the urge to post this song for several reason. The first being that CLOCKWORK TRACER is a really good circle that deserves more attention than it has. The second being that their album Shangri-La in Bloom is reaally good and almost unknown in the touhou doujin music world. And that’s a shame because it’s really nice.
I struggled finding it online and it was impossible to me to find lyrics of it on the web.
I sent an e-mail to Yapan, leader of this circle, telling him that I wanted to read Shangri-la in Bloom’s booklet so badly and I couldn’t afford buying the CD because I’m way too far away from Japan (I live in Italy).
And he was incredibly nice. He sent me the whole album lyrics in .txt files, and also told me they’re working on a way to spread their CD sale-points to other overseas countries. I could have cried for joy.
A doujin circle sending you an album full lyrics’ sheet for free it’s not something you see everyday.
I plan on translating every song from this album, but two of them have priority, being the two I like the most. One of those two is Drowning Emotion Has A Short-lived Dream -Rebloom-, today’s post.
I think it’s probably the greatest arrange for Candid Friend that I’ve ever listened, and I love when around the end of the song (when the lyrics go “izanawareru honogurai minasoko“), the guitar on the background is playing a tune very similar to the Theme of Eastern Story… chills, just chills.
Remember: things written (like this) are the screaming parts. Everything else is clean vocals.
Also, there were several pics waaaaaaaay more fitting than the one I used (some involving Nitori sinking down), but look at this. Look at it. It’s so beautiful I couldn’t help but placing it in my post. I’m sorry.
Without further ado, I hope you’ll like it: enjoy!

CLOCKWORK TRACER – Drowning Emotion Has A Short-lived Dream -Rebloom-

yume o kakusu shiro ni kakuzetsu no mizu no ne
sukitooru nagare ni mi o makase tayutau

I surrender myself to an isolated sound of water,
Swaying in the white where dreams are concealed

meguru kono sekai watashi wa hitori
nobashita te sukima umeru ni wa hirosugite

I’m alone in this revolving world,
The ground crack in which I outstretch my hand is too wide

gensou (fade out) setsuna no negai (momentary wishes)
yubisaki fureru sono toki ni
yurameku kaigou to tsukanoma no awai iro
kokoro wa hikareteku

An illusion, (fade out) an extemporary wish
Just when my fingertips started to shiver
My heart begins growing attracted
To that flickering chance of meeting, that brief time of pale colors

A sweet poison melting into a dirtless pure blue;
Is consuming my body lured by its beckoning calmness

yuragu kono sekai anata to futari
tsunaida te hanashi ikiru ni wa semasugite

Me and you, together, in this trembling world
Living in it releasing the hand I held makes it so narrow…

As the whisper of demons resounds around
If an ephemeral dream, melting, would disappear
At least let me see it for one last time…

I’m being lured down into the obscure river bottom
I know that if I’d fall I won’t be able to return once more under the light
