Kill La Kill – Episode 5 – Part 2/2

We left when the battle between Ryuuko and the cool-punk-guy-shooting-needles-whose-name-i-can’t-remember-at-all began.
I forgot to write an important thing about the first half, or probably I didn’t talk about that so much.
Mako’s family often watches Ryuuko talking to Senketsu, but due the fact only Ryuuko can hear Senketsu’s voice, they all think her uniform is just an imaginary friend of her.
I was somewhat also moved when Mako said that there was no problem with that, because before she met Ryuuko the only friends she had were all imaginary friends.
Mako was somewhat pitiful and adorable, so this line really got me, dunno why.
Anyway, keep this on mind, because it will be important for what is going to happen next.
So, we can summarize the second half of episode 5 with a few keywords: battles, explosions, explosions, fighting scenes, epicness, explosions, Sengoku Basara, esplosions, explosions, needlestorms, Yakumo Yukari.
Well, I’ve said enough: let’s see the best moments from Kill la Kill Episode 5 (part 2)!

KILL LA KILL #5-2 MOMENTS

Just when the battle gets started, some new enemies appear on the stage, tossing their weapons towards Ryuuko and the other guy. They are…

Kill14bis

…I actually don’t know? The old-farts club? Or probably the “Toss everything you got in da face” club. Don’t know and can’t remember. Anyway, they throw stuff. Pointy stuff. Next there’s…

Kill12

…The poetry club, which throws shurikens poems, which pierce every-f*cking-thing. Just in case you think you’ve seen anything by watching Chihayafuru…
And finally…

Kill13

…The garden club, with its handsome (?) leader which I don’t actually know if he’s the same as before or a clone or his brother or what. Whatever. Long story short, a battle between 2 becomes a battle royale in less than a minute. Nice.

Kill14

…Oh yeah, I almost forgot. The pink-haired chick joins the battle too, leading her army of musicians. sh*t got serious.

Kill15

However, no club can do sh*t against our punk, which is destroying the school a little bit too much.

Kill16

…Aaaand yup, the needles’ effect took its time, but it finally strikes Ryuuko which is now unable to move. Guess Ryuuko lost, this time.

Kill17

Meanwhile, our punk tells us a story of a woman which was consumed by an uniform, and tells us that a bond between a human and an uniform is impossible. I don’t know if the girl in his flashback was Satsuki or someone else, I think we’ll find it out as the story goes on.

Kill18

MOTIVATIONAL MAKO STRIKES AGAIN! Yup, she tells the punk that Senketsu is Ryuuko’s friend, and they both trust each other. It doesn’t matter if Ryuuko is crazy and talks to her uniform, friendship can overcome a simple matter as the relationship between animated and non-animated stuff! (…I guess.)

Kill19

Then, Mako took Senketsu, hands it to Ryuuko and gets the f*ck out. Thank you again, Mako!

Kill20

Just when the punk is about to strip Ryuuko once again, he’s stopped by…

Kill21

…Senketsu’s voice. He can feel the bond of trust between Ryuuko and her Kamui, both calling each other out. He’s astonished. Can’t blame him.

Kill22

The Orchestra-whatever club joins the toilet. I seriously don’t know anymore who’s allied with who.

Kill23

One last smoke grenade and the punk gtfos with Ryuuko from the window, leaving the pink haired chick and her sex slaves fellows alone in the school building.

Kill24

Summary of this scene:
Senketsu: “we’re safe, he brought us there and I’m just a shirt to you.”
Ryuuko: “Nope, you’re my friend.”
Senketsu: “K lol let’s train hard”
Pretty cliché but it’s ok.

Kill25

One last glance to this week’s hero, which now trusts Ryuuko and Senketsu, but is ready anytime to take back his words of trust if Ryuuko will become consumed by her Kamui’s life fiber. Damn, he’s cool.

Kill26

Pretty damn cool episode, see you next week!
Also, as I wrote yesterday, a new short subbed Gaki no Tsukai clip is coming out soon, stay tuned!

Kill la Kill – Episode 5 – Part 1/2

This episode felt different too, but I liked it a lot anyway.
By different I mean it focused more on the plot instead of gags, but it was awesome anyway.
First of all, The guy with the needle-gun was a total badass, and I seriously hope he’ll be back again by the next episodes.
Second, the battles. Oh God, the battles. I’m not lying when I say that the battle scenes in this episode were far greater than the battle scenes in episode 3 against Lady Satsuki.
I personally liked the fight against the guy with needles (And I can’t remember his name at all) more than the fight against Lady Satsuki.
On the other hand, I found somewhat cliché the part in which Ryuuko and Senketsu are talking about the bond between humans and uniforms. I don’t know, it doesn’t seem anything new to me, for some reasons.
Anyway, in this first half (Which I released way too late…) there’s no trace of the battles I’ve talked about. Those are inpart 2 coming out tomorrow!
Let’s see anyway the best moments and what happened in the first twelve minutes of Kill La Kill 5!

KILL LA KILL #5-1 MOMENTS

I like him. He’s badass. Anyway, the episode starts with this guy (can’t remember the name, once again; inb4 2lazy to search for it) breaking throught Honnouji’s Accademy and attempting to snipe Ryuuko, but right before that he’s interrupted…

Kill01

…By the gardening club’s manager, a 2-star uniform student which can grow giant monster plants from the pot on his back. He’s gonna take revenge for what Mr. Sniper did (stepping on the rooftop’s grass). He’s easily beaten, though. Oh well.

Kill02

Meanwhile, Mato and Ryuuko are involved in another mess, involving the zombie club chemistry club. An easy prey, considering the only star on their uniforms. The whole battle lasts only for 20 seconds, so it’s not a big deal.

Kill03

Ability unlocked! Now the scissor blade can easily change its size into a normal pair of scissor size! And Ryuuko is able to do that because… because the… ’cause… How can she do it, again? Whatever, that’s cool!

Kill05bf4

Here comes again the guy from before, shooting needles to Mako, in a comically dramatic sequence. The needles didn’t harm her, she’s just immobilized and she’ll be fine and energized afresh once the effect wore out. Lucky for you, Mako!

Kill04

He’s strong. Ryuuko couldn’t even change to her Kamui form before his eyes. The guy asked Ryuuko to strip off her uniform (which is what he’s aiming for), but he’s later blocked by a member of Satsuki’s party…

Kill06

…Which he meets later on the same day. We get to know that the guy is against Kamuis and Goku’s uniforms, because they slowly consume who’s wearing them, and because one can’t only rely on the power granted by the life fibers.

Kill07

Meanwhile, at Mako’s place, while everyone is enjoying the dinner (this time strangely luxurious), Ryuuko is worried about the guy she meets in the morning. Senketsu knows the guy is after him and not after Ryuuko, so he tells Ryuuko to leave him behind and go to school without wearing him.

Kill08

Being also an enemy of Satsuki’s party, the guy is being analyzed by Satsuki’s headquarters. I love the RPG-styled graphics.

Kill09

And so, the pink-haired-chick is now in charge to prevent the guy and Ryuuko to create a fuss the next day.

Kill10

After talking to Senketsu one more time (while Mako’s family watches her talking by herself ((they can’t hear Senketsu))), Ryuuko decides to wear it anyway, because she needs protection. And so, once she enters the school, the fight begins!

Kill11

Now, let me tell you two useful pieces of informations…
1)Second part is coming out tomorrow.
2)A new short Gaki no Tsukai clip is going to be released soon.

Kill la Kill – Episode 4 – Part 2/2

Episode 4 part 2, also known as FUCK YEAH I HAVE NO IDEA WHAT I’M WATCHING BUT I’M ENJOYING IT A LOT ANYWAY.
Pros:
– Action
– Dementia
– Gags
– Action
– Action
Cons:
– 24minutes lenght
Let’s not waste any more time, just enjoy the best moments from this second half!

KILL LA KILL #4-2 MOMENTS

The counterattack begins. I’d say this part is way better than 90% of action movies I’ve ever seen. It also reminded me of Panty & Stocking’s last episode.

Kill18

This moment. THIS F*CKING MOMENT. I died several times. The music… the animation… I just can’t…

Kill19

They somewhat safely landed in school, and Senketsu is delivered, but here we go again with a fatal panty shot…

Kill20

…Which caused the death (?) of our last hero. R.I.P. (?) Guts, we’ll never forget you.

Kill21

…But here’s the plot twist! Maiko wasn’t their ally to begin with. She was just aiming for Senketsu she succesfully stole, attempting to rise against Satsuki’s dictatorship!

Kill22

…And having not shame at all, she could wear Senketsu without any problem. That explanation cracked me up.

Kill23

…But Senketsu still refuses her blood, and so she’s unable to do anything. Ryuuko’s face means “you’re f*cked”.

Kill24

Though Senketsu returns to Ryuuko, Maiko’s last trap was already set! The school was a fake one, and so Mako and Ryuuko slide back to the beginning of the track. What are they going to do now?

Kill25

…Of course, riding to school via highspeed ropeway, powered by Senketsu’s power. F*ck yeah physics!

Kill262

Though Maiko safely got the f*ck away, she’s found out by Gamagoori, who expells her from the academy. Gj Maiko, you’ll be remembered.

Kill26

…And just when Ryuuko and Mako are about to being called by the professor, the cabin arrives at full speed towards the school, breaking through Ryuuko’s classroom…

Kill27

…And they safely arrive just in time…

Kill28

…to say “present” to the teacher’s call. (SO BADASS!!)

Kill29

This episode was awesome. See you next post/episode!
~Shion

Kill la Kill – Episode 4 – Part 1/2

BACK.
ON.
TRACK!!
This episode was awesome. It got back to its demential atmosphere, without erasing completely the epicness.
That’s exactly what I wanted from Kill la Kill: Randomness, action and entertainment.
I just want to say right now that Kill la Kill is the best anime of 2013, but I don’t know how it will go on, So, for now I’d say it’s only a good nominee for this award.
Watching episode 4 was, once again, like watching Panty&Stocking, or Dead Leaves.
I mean, damn. Same gags, same atmosphere and overall similar art.
If anyone, like me, wants to see randomness instead of a solid plot in an anime like this one, than you’ll love this episode.
It’s as if the third episode was something completely detached from the series.
Anyway, let’s check this part 1 best moments from episode 4!

KILL LA KILL #4-1 MOMENTS

Apparently something big is going to happen. We can understand it by Mako’s rush, which allows her create copies of her.

Kill01

Ryuuko can’t even wear Senketsu, today, because of the laundry done by Mako’s mom. Senketsu being slapped is worth the entire episode.

Kill02

According to Senketsu, no one except for Ryuuko can hear it. In other words, to everyone else, Senketsu is nothing more than a simple uniform. That’s probably why we didn’t get to hear the Junketsu talk, in episode 3 (?)

Kill03

Senketsu hitting the climax is one of the best thing of this episode. Even better than Senketsu being slapped.

Kill04

So, Mako tells Ryuuko that they’re about to face the “no-late day”, a day in which every no-star student must overcome several traps set by Honnouji Accademy’s members in order to reach the school. Everyone who fails to reach the school within 8:30, is expelled. Obviously, no one wants to be expelled.

Kill05

Gamagoori faces off Mako, who is defending Ryuuko for wearing a pajamas while attempting to entering school. “Everyone wears one as they wake up!”
Well, can’t complain it. Probably I’m going to university in pajamas next week.

Kill06

A panoramic of some death traps set by Honnouji Academy… What the hell are those luna-parks rotating tea cups for?

Kill07

A girl with an injured arm asks Ryuuko and Mato for help. Looks like they found a new ally!

Kill08

Meanwhile, Mako’s dad, brother and her dog Guts are attempting to reach Ryuuko by car to deliver her Senketsu she requested. Unfortunately, distracted by her butt, they end up crashing their car.

Kill09

Mako’s dad leaves the task to his son, who takes the bike in order to reach Ryuuko. Those two gags are repeated more than one time, and cracked me up every single time.

Kill10

Gags over gags while we see Ryuuko and the others proceed.

Kill11

Here we go again, Ryuuko’s panties kills (?) Mako’s brother.

Kill12

Another touching (?) death (?) scene ;_;

Kill13

The fate of the Senketsu’s delivery is now on the shoulder of our last hero, Guts.

Kill14

The trio manage to steal a van, having the girl with the glasses (Maiko) drive it. License? Who cares?

Kill15

Too bad they’re seen by a spy from Honnouji Academy, and thus…

Kill16

…World War Three started. (?)

Kill17

See you tomorrow for next half!
~Shion

Kill la Kill – Episode 3 – Part 2/2

And here comes part 2 of the third episode of Kill la Kill, full of action, fighting sequences, tits, epic animations, tits, tits and pointless fanservice.
Overall good, as I said in the previous post, but kinda disappointing in some parts.
I hope it will get back on its track by the next episode.
But let’s not waste any time on pointless talk, let’s just enjoy the best moments from this second half.

kill la kill #3-2 moments

As the battle is about to begin, Senketsu warns Ryuuko that Satsuki is more powerful than her. In fact, Ryuuko is loosing lots of blood, and is in trouble. Also, apparently Satsuki can shoot lasers (?)

Kill13

Satsuki is not even moving her feet, and yet, she’s winning. Just look at her royal badassery.

Kill14

Ryuuko is launched inside the school building. She’s about to faint. Ass shots everywhere.

Kill15

To avoid to have Ryuuko fainting, Senketsu deactivates, leaving Ryuuko powerless, face on the ground.

Kill16

That scene. Ryuuko is about to face her defeat.

Kill17

Satsuki tells her that there’s no point to be ashamed of what they’re wearing, because that’s the Kamui’s true nature. Also, pointless ridiculously large tits shot.

Kill18

Here comes Mako, saving the day! (?) She basically tells Ryuuko not to give a f*ck about her being ashamed, because she’s not in a position to being it to begin with.

Kill19

Just before Satsuki is about to slice Mako in half, Ryuuko stops her. She now understood everything. The fact she understood everything because of Mako’s stupid talking, was rather nonsensical and lame. Oh well.

Kill22

Ryuuko gains Senketsu’s full power. No need to be ashamed of anything! Just kick some ass!

Kill23

Ryuuko attacks! Fanservice is not missing, though.

Kill24

Spinspinspinspinspin~ Ryuuko is unstoppable, but Satsuki is not so weak to be defeated by her.

Kill25

…In fact, Satsuki is able to dodge Ryuuko’s ultimate attack. She seems quite pleased by the fight overall, but in the end…

Kill26

…No one won. Satsuki retreats, they’re both exhausted.
…BUT! The next scene will be something epic, because…

Kill27

Satsuki tells Ryuuko that if she’ll fight her again only after Ryuuko defeated every other club under her command…

Kill32

…In other word, we’ll get to see Ryuuko against several villains, and lastly agains the final boss Satsuki! JUST LIKE I WANTED!! TYPICAL SHONEN GRADUATED BOSS-FIGHT RULES!!

Kill33

Probably I didn’t enjoy this episode as the other two, but that final scene was satisfying. I have my hope raised again for it!

Kill34

See you next week!
~Shion

Kill la Kill – Episode 3 – Part 1/2

Episode 3: WAT.
I mean, I liked it, but it’s starting to look a lot more like a “serious” anime, and I didn’t actually enjoyed all the fanservice in this episode. It’s way too much.
It was epic anyway, though.
The animations were absolutely gorgeous, and the fighting scenes are getting better and better as it continues.
I also liked how the “boss fight” is so early in the plot, but it ends halfway. I’ll talk about this in part 2, coming tomorrow.
So, in few words, this episodes’ pros and cons.
Pros:
– Epic animation/battles.
– Plot seems to get clearer.
– It settles the right ground for the next episodes.
Cons:
– Different from the previous episodes, it’s not so random as them.
– Too much fanservice.
– The gags were kinda forced and lame.

(PS: I wrote Mato instead of Mako in the previous post!)

KILL LA KILL #3-1 MOMENTS

We start with a flashback of Satsuki where she’ seen talking t- OMFG THAT’S ADORABLE.

Kill01

The teacher is going to talk to Ryuuko. Meanwhile, enjoy some free Mako spinning.

Kill02

I liked this part: Ryuuko seeking for answers, the teacher trying to avoid answering. Guess a blade in-da-face will do the job.

Kill03

It looks like the teacher is a friend of Ryuuko’s father, and they were in a group against Satsuki’s family’s dictatorship. He was instructed to give Ryuuko her senketsu after his death. Apparently, kamuis are made 100% of life threads, a powerful material, the same used for Goku’s uniforms, though they only use less than 30% of it. Way too much plot for my tastes-

Kill04

Meanwhile, in school the “bad guys” are trying to create a 50% life thread Goku’s uniform, which results in creating an uncontrollable beast, later blocked by the guy with glasses and blue hair. I kinda like him.

Kill05

Satsuki is back home, intended to take back her “wedding dress” her father promised her when she was a child. Obviously it’s a kamui, and she offers her blood to it, even though her servants are trying to stop her from doing so.

Kill06

Despite the pain, she’s able to wear it. I liked this blood stain detail.

Kill07

And we’re back in Mako’s place, where her father and brother (and dog) continue to harass Ryuuko. Yay!

Kill08

Just before going to bed, Mako notices that Senketsu is strange, as if it has goosebumps. Some sh*t is going to happen.

Kill09

Epicness. Satsuki awaits Ryuuko in the next morning: sh*t happened.

Kill10

The two are ready to fight each other, but not before Satsuki shows her ultimate gear: the Senketsu.

Kill11

After a Sailor-Moon-Styled transformation sequence (in which fanservice hits its peaks), Kamui Junketsu is finally showed: The battle is about to begin.

Kill12

Part 2 coming out tomorrow

Kill la Kill – Episode 2 – Part 2/2

I think one of the most enjoyable element in an anime is the mixture. With it, I mean that an anime is really enjoyable when inside it has some serious plot/story/moments but overall a funny/crazy/random atmosphere. There are several animes which try to do this, but it’s not something so simple that everyone can do it nicely.
Kill la Kill is surely one of those animes.
When it comes to badass moments, it has badass moments, same thing for its epicness, fight scenes, serious moments… everything steadily decorated by its random and hilarious style. I’d say this will be part of my top 5 best animes if it keeps its way.
Anyway, here’s part two of Kill La Kill episode 2 recap/Best moments!

Kill La Kill #2-2 Moments

Ryuuko is rescued by the teacher, she’s (obviously) naked and he’s going to explain her a little something about her Senketsu. Gotta love her :I face.

Kill13

How to awake Senketsu? Just spill some of your blood on it. Remember episode 1? Ryuuko was injured when she wore it.

Kill14

The teacher’s explaination continues, as he performs some random manservice poses. I can’t help but seeing Panty & Stocking everywhere, I’m sorry if I quote it everytime.

Kill15

He suddenly returns geeky. Anyway, he gives Ryuuko that glove, which can help her to feed Senketsu easily.

Kill16

Ryuuko is ready to face her opponent, the tennis club Leader. Epic frame.

Kill17

Senketsu’s activation was weird, sudden and somewhat epic.

Kill18

Because they’re on a tennis field, Ryuuko must face her opponent in a tennis match. She then accepts those conditions, persuaded by Mato.

Kill19

Though her Senketsu is working fine, her racket is too weak compared to her opponent’s. She’s almost losing the match.

Kill20

Using her half-scissor-blade as a racket. Pure genious. Now, sh*t got serious.

Kill21

FINISH HER! KILLING SHOT!

Kill22

…I’m not even sure that’s tennis anymore.

Kill23

Tennis-chick’s Goku’s Uniform: destroyed. I think we’ll seen frames like that in every episode. Fine to me-

Kill24

Ryuuko won and everything (LOL @the audience), but…

Kill25

Surprising, Lady Satsuki makes her move against Ryuuko, claiming that her sword could destroy even her Senketsu. Ryuuko is almost at her limit, so winning for now it’s impossible. Having almost 50 seconds to win against her opponent…

Kill26

…She decided to flee the battle. Satsuki allowed her to do so, once more.

Kill27

And with this frame, the second episode ends. I surely didn’t expect Satsuki to enter the battle right now, though. Looks like Satsuki and Ryuuko are going to have a good time with weapons in the future. For now, I’d say that it’s not time yet, considering the other guys Ryuuko has to beat. Yeah, kinda like a videogame, you can’t simply face off the final boss in the first chapters, you can just take a glance of it, or have a simple taste of its power.

Kill28

See you next week!

~Shion

Kill La Kill – Episode 2 – Part 1

And another episode of Kill la Kill is out.
Hopefully, it wasn’t disappointing at all. If it will keep with this pace, I’m positive it will become one of my favourite anime of all time.
I mean, damn. Is way too epic and funny.
As always, the P&S atmosphere is overwhelming, and I totally do approve it.
As a side-note, Another Gaki no tsukai subbed clip should come out in almost three days! After that, I’m planning on the release of other GnT clips as well as a 10-episode japanese short serie…
Wandering what it would be? Then, be sure to keep an eye to my youtube channel

KILL LA KILL #2-1 MOMENTS

Where did we left? Oh, right. Ryuuko was pointing Satsuki with her half-scissor-blade. Epic stares come next. After that, Ryuuko’s strenght begin to fade away. Her uniform power comes from her blood, so she can’t use the power for a long timespawn, or else she will perish… or so I do believe.

Kill01

Ryuuko escapes, Satsuki lets her run away by purpose. She faints right after riding the railway. A group of kids provide us a hilarious “you’r gonna get r*ped” moment.

Kill02

When she regains consciousness, she’s under a fat man, panting over her. A punch right on his face solved the problem, apparently.

Kill03

After that, we get to know that the man was Mato’s father (dripping a sea of blood). Mato’s family members appear one after another. It was Mato’s brother that rescued Ryuuko. I kinda like that kiddo.

Kill04

It seems that Goku’s Uniforms’ power has also a meaning beyond the school level. The more star, the more economical power. The entire city is under Satsuki’s control. Mato’s family is very poor, and their meals are not that good-looking. They also run a hospital, though as Mato said “The number of the people who survived by entering there is less than the number of the people who died there.” Well, not the nicest line, uh?

Kill05

Meet Guts, Chuck from P&S counterpart in Kill la Kill. God, I love this show.

Kill06

Meanwhile, the tennis club leader receives a special Goku’s Uniform for the upcoming tennis tournament directly from Satsuki herself. Yyyup, she’s going to be this episode’s boss.

Kill07

…Enjoy those P&S-styled humping dogs.

Kill00

When Ryuuko wakes up in Mako’s place, there’s a flashback in which we get to know how she gained the powers from her uniform. The uniform is feed by her blood, and was created by a funny-looking guy, with a overly-hilarious description. Ironically, that guy seems to be Ryuuko’s father himself.

Kill08

A Uniforms which is feed by blood? Fresh (鮮) Blood (血) looks like a nice name to Ryuuko… and to me too! Senketsu, that’s the name of Ryuuko’s uniform.

Kill09

Apparently, skipping a tennis lesson is punished by a full-speed tennis ball bullet hell. Mato is hella tough, considering that Leon Kuwata from Danganronpa died for much less…

Kill10

Mato was saved by Ryuuko… once again. Though it seems that she can’t activate Senketsu’s powers. A wall of tennis balls approaches her, launching her outside the school’s gates, in a water stream.

Kill11

Ryuuko is found once again by the mysterious teacher, the one who opened the trapdoor under her feet in the first episode… Just what is his role in the anime?

Kill12

Part 2 coming out tomorrow..!

~Shion

KILL LA KILL – EPISODE 1 – PART 2

Let’s continue what I started yesterday by pointing out other things that I appreciated by far in the first episode of Kill La Kill.
I loved how it deals with negative and wrong topics, such as death, dictatorship (Also refered at the beginning, when the class is studying Hitler’s history) and confinement, in a careless way.
Not every anime with a “serious” background is properly able to mix up comedy and seriousness.
Kill La Kill is able to, thanks to its seiyuu cast, its crazy drawing-style and its overall carefree atmosphere.
There’s, of course, fan service, but it’s not the typical fanservice you see in every anime.
I found it, again, similar to the one in Panty & Stocking, though this last one is way more direct and broad.
So, lastly, I have high hopes for Kill La Kill, it could turn out to be a hella epic anime.
Time for part 2 moments discussion!

KILL LA KILL #1-2 MOMENTS

So, that’s the classic scene where the main antagonists appears, so you get an idea of who Ryuuko is fighting next. I like this cliché, nowadays it’s very unused. It kinda reminded me of Katanagatari, which I enjoyed a lot. Also, how does the coat of this guy work?!

kill10

That’s probably the most serious moment in the first episode. Ryuuko almost crying at the foot of his father gravestone, complaining how she couldn’t get any clue about his murderer even though she was so close getting some good informations…
But when things start to got serious and kinda sad…

kill11

…Here comes again a comedy moment, in which a trapdoor opens under Ryuuko’s feet, leading her into some kind of underground messed up room. It looks like the one who opened this trapdoor was the teacher from Ryuuko’s class. Hope we’ll understand more of his reasons.

kill12

Here, Ryuuko hears a voice. It’s the voice of a sailor uniform, an enchanted sailor uniform. I loved this moment, when Ryuuko is being almost r*ped by it. Lol

kill13

Meahwhile, our bald boxer kidnaps Mako in order to have Ryuuko to come back to school. He wanted to fry Mato up, and I found hilarious how carefully he dips the shrimp in the tempura-frying-machine even though he had gigantic hands.

kill14

Right after that, Ryuuko jumps out from the crowd, rescuing Mato and beating the sh*t up of some minions. Once again, a pure-action moment is filled with comedy: just look at those tempura guys screaming around.

kill15

Ryuuko ready to fight once again, while holding a bewildered Mato. This pic describes perfectly Kill La Kill in its true essence.

kill16

The baldy accidentally punching the ring girl as she flies away was… priceless.

kill17

Ryuuko’s mantle is destroyed, and her new sailor uniform outfit is revealed. I’d say it’s kinda cool, though her breasts are way too much exposed. Oh well, a little bit of fanservice it’s not so bad.

kill18

(Loved Ryuuko’s unexpected girly-scream there <3) When the fight gets serious, is your choiche whether to strip off your pants…

kill19

…Or unleash your ultimate weapon, whose name covers the entire screen.
Just look at his face. Look at it, damn.

kill20

Time to start round tw- MY. F*CKING. SIDES.

kill21

Giant iron fists can’t do sh*t against a half-naked badass wielding a half-scissor giant blade.
Once again, his face: priceless.

kill22

Now it’s Ryuuko’s turn to strike. Appearently, her scissor-blade can destroy the goku-uniforms (basically, the uniforms which gives power to Satsuki’s underlings). An epic fight scenes, concluded with this touching (?) shot.

kill23

Everything Ryuuko does is off the chart of “epic” and “badass”. Even the way she picks up the mike next to her foot.

kill24

Holding the mike, Ryuuko points her blade to Satsuki, in order to have her talk about who’s the holder of the other half of her blade, which was the murderer’s weapon which ended her father’s life.
With this frame, the episode ends.

kill25

See you next Episode!

~Shion

Kill La Kill – Episode 1 – Part 1

Kill La Kill.
Wow, just wow.
I thought it would be just a normal action anime, with few plot and lots of crappy action sequences, but it totally surprised me.
First of all, the art: Amazing. It’s so simple it’s awesome.
Art, animations, characters and situations totally reminds me of Panty & Stocking and Dead Leaves, which are two of the most hilarious yet amazingly epic animes out there.
Compared to P&SwG, Kill la Kill has a linear plot, and It’s not based off only on gags.
I highly recommend it, though only one episode is out: it’s very promising.
Now, for the first half of this post, let’s see some of the most WTF and epic moments.
-Part 2 coming tomorrow-

Kill la Kill #1-1 Moments

This moment reminded me of Dead Leaves waaaaaay too much, while the moment right before it, where the door is destroyed and it dashes throught the room making every student in it fly away, was so much p&s-styled.

I kinda like Satsuki, and this scene was epic, though her speech was kinda trivial, pointless and overall lame. I hope we’ll find out more about how began her dictatorship in the school as the story goes on…
kill02

The way the writings were animated was stunning. Very original and nice.
kill03

OMFG This is the most epic thing I have ever seen. I just came watching this.
kill04

Seriously?! Biting a f**king lemon? A LEMON? And with its peel still on it?! #allmywat
kill05

Another Panty-and-stocking-styled moment. I don’t know, but this scene where Ryuuko dodges Mako made me laugh so much. Mako’s attitude kinda reminds me of Brief and Chuck from P&S.
…And yes, Imho, Kill la Kill is the Panty and Stocking of 2013 (and I couldn’t be happier)
kill06

…And that’s how Ryuuko entered the “most badass anime characters” list, and also my personal favourite characters list.
kill07

And the award for “The most WHATTHEF*CK yet OMFGSOFUC*INGEPIC weapon” goes to…
kill08

Yes, yes, simply yes! Even when it comes to “serious” parts, it’s always time for wtf-faces and comical sketches (the guy who slips and falls right before catching Ryuuko)
