Kill La Kill – Episode 13

And Kill La Kill is finally back! Damn, it felt like an eternity, this timespan without its broadcasting.
So, what happened those days? A lots of things, I must say. First of all, being Kill La Kill-related, the OST from this anime has been released. As expected, its tracks were epic (My personal favourite is 斬LLLア生LL) but there are several segments of tracks that weren’t that necessary (and yeah, I’m also talking about the rap part on “Before my body is dry”): even on my favourite track, the intro is not that great, as well as from 1:41 onwards. In other words, I only listen to this track from 0:34 to 1:40 (lol).
I hope there will be some arranges of those tracks, because they’re really epic.
About other stuff, let’s see…
Gaki no Tsukai news: I won’t release new Gaki no Tsukai clips on my channel (or at least, not in great quantity). Yeah, I kinda promised I’d release a new clip, but stuff happened and (as you can see from the header) I’m now part of TeamGaki fansub group! So, basically, I’m now working with those guys on big Gaki no Tsukai clips (I’m also currently working and helping on the new batsu game!), and I won’t release long clips of this show on my channel. Short clips? Probably. I also plan on releasing more subbed stuff related to Kantai Collection. I only need some time to start with this project of mine, and than on my youtube channel there will be several kancolle clips— I hope so, at least.
About this episode. Stuff happened. Lotsa stuff. Let’s see briefly:

KILL LA KILL #13 MOMENTS

In the previous episodes: Ryuuko defeated the elite four. Nui defeated Ryuuko and was banned from the school grounds by Satsuki. A plan to conquer the whole Japan starts. The end.
Now, present situation: The elite four are reunited (and they’ll have a new Goku’s Uniform soon). Also, as you can see, they devoted their own life to protect Wall Maria

Kill01

After having show her doubtful geography skills, Mako seems to be a bit down. That’s because of the fact that she wants to join the “free trip” with the goku-uniform guys conquering Japan, but she can’t fight at all. But actually, that’s not the only thing that’s bugging her…

Kill02

Another reason is Ryuuko, that doesn’t want to wear Senketsu anymore. After what happen, anyone won’t, right?

Kill03

Glasses guy appears! He seems to be the former president of the journal club, banned from the school grounds for trying to go against Satsuki’s dictatorship with his writings. He grabs Mako and heads towards her house, where Ryuuko is resting. He needs Ryuuko to put her Senketsu back, in order to fight the current system!

Kill04

And so, while Ryuuko is still so depressed she won’t even grab a bite of Mako’s mom delicious (?) croquettes…

Kill05

The guy breaks the mood appearing everywhere. That was kinda hilarious.

Kill06

He tried to explain the situation, but failed to persuade Ryuuko. He then got gtfo’d from the house.

Kill07

I seriously need to know who’s the hairstyler of Satsuki’s mom. Anyway. pointless and idle talk about dressing and stuff. That’s probably the thing that I hate the most about Kill La Kill. Satsuki and her mother are ready to conquer your an*s.

Kill08

Meanwhile, saw by Gamagoori while illegally spreading illegal newspapaer sheets, Mako is forced on working with the guys sending the needed items on the vans for the voyage. Poor her.

Kill09

The guy with the glasses (lolreference?) was pursued by some guards of Honnouji’s Accademy, and ends up breaking towards Mankanshoku’s place. Literally breaking.

Kill10

Ryuuko has no choice. After talking with Senketsu, she’s now ready to wear her uniform again. And here we are with the usual slashed nudity scene! Ryuuko won, but…

Kill11

Looks like they were puppets. Well she managed to win anyway. I remember one time, when I was a kid, I was defeated by a puppet. Anyway, what’s happening?

Kill12

It was all a trap set by this guy. And to think that I liked him at first! Hey, where did I already saw that eyepatch…?

Kill13

“IS THAT B*TCH ISN’T SHE? OMG DIDN’T EXPECT IT, F*CK” – My reaction
She basically planned to fight Ryuuko outside the school’s grounds, in which she couldn’t enter. That clever b*tch.

Kill14

The fight hasn’t started yet, and Nui already broke the 4th dimention, every possible perspective and physics rule and the 4th wall. Nice.

Kill15

Even though Ryuuko tried to keep her cool in order to avoid having her blood start to boil hot, and managed to slash her sword around, not a single scratch was made on Nui.

Kill16

On the other hand, Ryuuko is getting beated up for good. The situation is getting bad for Ryuuko, and what happens next is…

Kill17

…No
Just no
Why.
WHY.
WHYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY-

Kill18

Probably Nui also planned to kill Ryuuko, anyway, Satsuki points her swords towards her, making her leave at once. Then, gets a look to Ryuuko’s condition. Awful.

Kill19

Senketsu’s remains are collected by Satsuki and presented to the laboratory, in which they will be used for… for… I don’t remember. We’ll surely find out (arguable) in the next episodes.

Kill20

And lastly, the Honnouji’s Accademy expedition finally begins.
Oh, and yeah, Mako seems to be inside one of those veichles.
For unknown reasons.

Kill21

This episode got really interesting in the last part. I seriously want to know how it continues.
See ya next post!

Kill La Kill – Episode 12

I didn’t like this episode at all.
Okay, I said it.
It sucked, probably the worst by now.
Full of shonen clichés, disappointing, and threw the entire show’s plot in a pit from where it will be difficult to emerge again.
I couldn’t believe that Nui was the culprit, after all. Ryuuko’s father was pretty cool, though.
I also didn’t like the fact that Satsuki is still behind everything (as it is now).
Dunno, I just hope it will get back to the epic-awesome yet careless and hilarious Kill la Kill of the first episodes.
Anyway, this will probably be the beginning of the second half of Kill la Kill, which I hope will be better than this last episode (which though I didn’t liked a lot, was pretty epic indeed).
Now, some moments!

Kill La Kill #12 moments

Last week’s episode ended with Ryuuko’s anger towards the wielder of the other half of the scissor-blade. Ryuuko obviously attacks her without thinking twice. I mean, she told Ryuuko that she herself killed her father!

Kill01

All of her attack seems pointless. Nui keeps on avoiding them all (and moves as if she was a 2d character. Well she kinda is, though…)

Kill02

Aaaaand, once again FLASHBACK TIME! I love how Ryuuko’s father appearance was meant to be a gag on the first episodes, but then is confirmed to be as it was reminded by Ryuuko. Anyway, Ryuuko’s father’s coat is made of life fibers, which helps him regenerate even his own wounds. Nui came here to steal his ultimate work…

Kill03

Yup, the scissors that are able to cut through life fibers. Of course, she’s not going to take them peacefully, and Ryuuko’s father is not going to hand them down to the enemy so easily.

Kill04

Though I kinda liked Nui at the beginning, I’m now not so fond on her. You could say I dislike her.
….
…Okay, I hate that b*tch. Why is she so strong if she’s not even wearing a Goku’s Uniform or a Kamui? That’s what I don’t like about overpowered characters. Anyway, sliiiiiice.

Kill05

Even if pierced by his own weapon, Ryuuko’s father deals his last blow against Nui, resulting in her losing her left eye. Well done, doctor!

Kill06

Your tears are delicious.

Kill07

His last blow, angered Nui even more. She deals her last blow too. The blow that left Ryuuko’s father cornered, back to the wall. The flashback ends here, following the story, that’s exactly before the moment Ryuuko enters the Matoi’s mansion.

Kill08

Back to reality, be prepared for some clichés. First, Having heard this story from Nui, Ryuuko gets angrier and angrier, which results in having her blood heat up. The bond between Ryuuko and Senketsu becomes weaker, and Senketsu can’t hold anymore the amount of blood Ryuuko is giving to it. In other words, Ryuuko gets literally eaten by Senketsu’s power.

Kill09

Cliché achievement #1 unlocked! – The main character can’t hold her own powers.
Cliché achievement #2 unlocked! – The main character becomes a monster on berserk.

Kill10

Having Ryuuko in this state, everyone tries to stop her and Nui in order to having things return to “normality” (does normality exists in Kill la Kill’s world?)
Satsuki is ready to use her Junketsu again. The elite four are going to make the students of Honnouji’s Accademy leave the field as soon as they can…

Kill11

Ryuuko’s teacher is trying to shoot her with a special bullet which can destroy her Senketsu, but has a chance of killing even its wearer…

Kill12

…And the punk guy tries to stop the two monsters fighting each other with his own hands… without any good results. Well, at least he tried!

Kill13

I didn’t like this part. I felt like it was more reasonable for Satsuki to stop Nui instead of Ryuuko, but she ignores her in order to fight against the monster. Dunno, I didn’t like that choice.

Kill14

…SUDDENLY!
Cliché achievement #3 unlocked! – The hug that ceases the fight.
Mako’s in order to return the favour to Ryuuko (which saved her when her mind was clouded by the power of moneys), stops her with the hug of justice. And her usual motivational-speech.

Kill15

Cliché achievement #4 unlocked! – The power of friendship solves everything!
Cliché achievement #5 unlocked! – Friendship changes back monsters into humans.
Also, b*tchslap combo.

Kill16

Ok, so, Ryuuko returned normal and is still alive, Mako got a nice tan and Satsuki seems to know who she is. I guess… that’s all?

Kill17

Oh, right. Nui is expelled from the school by Satsuki for causing such a fuss.

Kill18

After some days, Ryuuko meets Satsuki again. Her election plan was a facade in order to achieve more power, and she also reveals Ryuuko that she was the one who ordered Nui to steal the scissors. In other words, she’s saying Ryuuko that she should fight against her, if Ryuuko wants to avenge her father, because it’s all her fault: Nui was just a mere pawn moved by Satsuki herself.

Kill19

I still don’t believe that’s all. Satsuki is a very enigmatic character, and I’m positive something unexpected will happen, sooner or later.
Anyway, that was all from episode 12. Hoping it will get better, see you back next week!

Kill la Kill – Episode 11

I F*CKING LOVED THIS EPISODE.
Okay, first thing: New post already? Yes. I kinda need to justify my previous “post”.
Before talking about this last Kill la Kill episode, just something about the upcoming videos: the new Gaki no Tsukai clip I was talking for ages is almost done, and will probably (this time no jokes!) come out within sunday. After that, a new touhou pv is going to be subbed before Christmas, and I’m also working on another Gaki no Tsukai clip that I’m going to sub within 2013. So yeah, in other words, three new subbed clips will be uploaded within the month! I’m grateful for the feedback of my uploads. Really, I read every single comment and I’m happy to see that people is laughing watching things that I’ve translated and subtitled. Plus, I’m getting tons of views, likes and subs. As a subber, I’m really happy to see how my “work” is being repayed! Thanks!
Ok, now Kill La Kill.
This.
F*cking.
Episode.
Something unexpected happened, something that everyone was expecting didn’t happen. New characters, new abilities, new epicness and…
…LET’S CHECK!

KILL LA KILL #11 MOMENTS

As the previous episode is portrayed on the television screen the Makanshoku family is watching, let’s see once again what happened in episode 10. After defeating the blue-haired d*ck, Ryuuko is currently fighting against the Orchestral loli, and also learned how to change shape of her Senketsu under her own will, allowing her to fly. The fight is taking place mid-air.

Kill01

Amongst the crowd watching the match, we can get a clear close-up of this gothic-lolita chick, which we’ll later know who she is. Keep her on mind!

Kill02

Back to Honnouji Accademy, while Mako is (ARGUABLY) enjoying her stay with her (VERY ARGUABLY) friendly (ARGUABLE) friends,

Kill03

Ryuuko is proving the audience that she can easily become the main character of a future Touhou Project chapter by flying around and beating the crap out of the rockets the pink-haired loli is shooting at her.

Kill04

Uh, yeah, about rockets, one of them is literally throw back by Ryuuko to the loli which fired it. Priceless reaction, as her face is covered by the shadow of the giant-recorder-rocket.

Kill05

And that’s it, Ryuuko strikes her last attack, defeating the loli. The life fiber is not retrieved, by the way, and that’s because…

Kill06

…”Encore! Encore!” One more last performance from the pink-haired chick, whose uniform changed into something smaller. She can now perform her last piece of music.

Kill07

Beethoven, uh? Her sound waves seems to be way more powerful than before, so powerful Senketsu can’t connect to Ryuuko because he can’t hear her.

Kill08

…But! Ryuuko focuses, generates a vortex with her blade and conceals the sound the pink-haired chick is making with her own beat in her mind. …Uh? Well, that’s… obvious! Isn’t it? And it’s also perfectly clear!

Kill09

And there’s an exemplification on the laptop screen for the one who didn’t get it.
…Very, very, very clear.

Kill10

What’s important is that Ryuuko now is able to deflect the sound waves and ignore them, in order to advance. I liked that frame. She uses the waves to weaken her opponent, and then, after charging a boost…

Kill11

Strikes her killer move. Nice! I mean, I didn’t expect to see 3 out of 4 Elite Four lose without much problems. Way to go, Ryuuko! Only the one who once defeated you is left now!

Kill12

Meanwhi- OH! Guess who’s back! Well if it isn’t the Punk guy! It’s been a while, uh? I like him. Anyway, he seems to have some business with Ryuuko’s teacher (remember, right? NUUUUUUUDIST BEAAAAAAAACH).

Kill13

They both seem to be worried about how strong Ryuuko is getting, and they also seems to be interested in using a special bullet (which looks like it’s made of life fibers). Sadly, we don’t get to know nothing more in this episode. Oh well.

Kill14

And here’s the match we all waited! Sanegayama makes his appearance on the stage. Transformation sequences. Ryuuko and Sanegayama are about to strike each other, when…

Kill15

SUP B*TCHES!

Kill16

Satsuki appears to recognize her, and seems to be worried. I didn’t think Satsuki could even make worried faces as this one.

Kill17

Unrelated note: The Makanshoku family has decided to reach Honnouji’s Accademy in order to watch Ryuuko’s battle (due the fact that the guy at the tv shop is not going to show anymore because they can’t pay anymore).

Kill18

This b*tch (which actually is Satsuki’s mother) is plotting something, meanwhile. We don’t have many informations about this, but seems like Satsuki is not in a great relationship with her.

Kill19

The gothic lolita (name: Nui. Easy to remember, hence I’m going to call her like that) wants to fight against Ryuuko, for some reasons. Sanegayama is obviously against her getting between him and Ryuuko during their fight, but he receives a punch as answer to his gripes…

Kill20

…And inserts a finger on Sanegayama’s uniform, pulls a string out of it and…

Kill21

…Sanegayama stripped. I didn’t expect this. “Banshi” is the name of the string made out of life fiber that allows the uniform to gain its will to became a battle uniform. In other words, is the most important life fiber inside a Goku’s uniform. Pulling it out means destroying the Goku’s uniform itself. It’s not something a newbie can do that easily. She sure is someone.

Kill22

Having defeated Sanegayama, she gains the permission to fight against Ryuuko by Satsuki. Ryuuko is confused: Who is she? Why should she fight against a little girl who is not even wearing an uniform? This time, Nui gives Ryuuko a reason to fight her…

Kill23

…And that’s the reason. The other half of the scissor-blade.

Kill24

Ryuuko is astonished. She knows what this means, but asks her anyway.

Kill25

With a sinister smirk on her face, she confirms it: She’s the killer of Ryuuko’s father.
…(Though, for some reason, I don’t believe that’s the truth anyway..!)

Kill26

Truth or not, that’s enough to get Ryuuko absurdly angry, so angry her blood starts to heat so fast it destroys her Senketsu-activation-device. We’ll get to see some serious battle scenes on the next episode for sure!

Kill27

See you next post!

Kill La Kill – Episode 10…?

Ok, it’s late. It’s almost Tuesday and I haven’t released this post yet.
…BUT! It’s not my fault.
I got hella sick during the weekend, and I wasn’t able to write anything without realizing what the heck was I actually doing.
I’m already recovering, though I don’t feel so well anyway.
Obviously, I wasn’t able to put effort and time on the new post, and I think it’s too late right now to start a full post, considering that a new episode will come out in 3 days.
And, one more thing, I didn’t like this episode so much. Let’s check why (Without pics: it takes me time and I’m not in the best shape to focus on copy-pasting stuff).

Episode plot by far:

I thought the blue-haired hacker would be the main villain of the episode. I was wrong. The episode starts with a flashback from when he tried to hack Satsuki’s system, and after being caught by her subordinates, he was spared and accepted by an amazed Satsuki, impressed by his skills. So, after the starts fight, he doesn’t do anything good, and he’s about to being defeated until he surrenders about after 10 minutes of episode. That was disappointing. Looks like he gave up in order not to lose the data he has kept inside his uniform. Nice. So, here comes the pink haired chick, the next challenger. WAY TOO SOON. Another flashback. She was a good friend with Satsuki. Her uniform is f*cking huge and can fly. Ryuuko flies too, defying the laws of gravity and confirming the unreasonable laws of animes. Than, the episode ends, with Ryuuko not showing a trace of fatigue.
pros: It was fun, Gamagoori was hilarious, Ryuuko showed some amazing techniques.
cons: too short, way too fast.

Next week I’m going to post a regular one, I promise!

I’ll post a gif of the best moment of the episode in my opinion:

The blue haired guy clicking the buttons on his ass around while saying stuff like “I’ve analyzed every single movement you can possibly perform!” while Ryuuko, mocking hime, says something like “I know that guys like you who says that they knew every imminent movement of their opponent are nothing but talkers!”
Well, congratulations, Ryuuko.
You destroyed years and years of shonen anime with just one sentence. [slowly claps]

See you Friday~Saturday with a proper Kill la Kill post!
~Shion

Kill La Kill – Episode 9 – Part 2/2

After the fight against Sanegayama, I understood the fact that Ryuuko can win as well as she can lose. So, I didn’t clearly know how her battle against Gamagoori would end up. Being the protagonist, I was positive about her triumph, but can we really say something like this for sure? I mean, she’s going to fight the elite four one after another, can she really keep up the pace?
Anyway, in the next half we have our lovely flashbacks and battle scenes, as well as some really entertaining battle strategies and some wonderful scenes and frames: I really like this episode.
Let’s not waste further time, the show must go on!
(And the next subbed clip is coming soon… and right after it, another one, shorter but entertaining anyway!)

Kill La Kill #9-2 moments

The battle continues and the Makanshoku family found a spot with a television from where they can finally see the match. Ryuuko is having trouble, anyway.

Kill14

But suddenly flashback! Remember when Gamagoori was helped by Satsuki on the rooftop of his former middle school? Well, it seems he didn’t like the speech of Satsuki about her ruling the entire world. He tries to fight her, but she is far stronger than him.

Kill15

A spinning GTFO knockdown and Satsuki easily defeats the armored Gamagoori, who…

Kill16

…Even all beaten up, still refuses to kneel before her. Satsuki liked this act of bravery, and decided to accept Gamagoori.

Kill17

…And so the two villains joined for- WHAT THE HELL, JUST HOW F*CKING HUGE IS GAMAGOORI? OMFG

Kill18

Back to the present, the battle continues, and while Ryuuko gets naked pleasing the audience and a suddenly lesbian Mako…

Kill19

…She seems to find new ways to avoid getting her butt slapped around by the armored giant. I seriously thought that she was going to win using this technique, but some seconds later…

Kill20

…A third form of Scourge Regalia with new weapons and sh*t. Just how many times can a Goku’s Uniform change its form?

Kill21

Ryuuko is in trouble: she changes back the form of her Senketsu in order to escape a trap set by Gamagoori, and loses her scissor blade. Also, I forgot to mention that Gamagoori’s armor is so thick that she can’t use her final skill to destroy it, because the life fibers are protected by an heavy armor. And yeah, her finishing move kinda hits only the life fibers.

Kill22

Gamagoori attacks. She seems to have some kind of plan. She grabs a huge wire shot by Gamagoori with her and Senketsu’s teeth (Your shirt has no teeth. Just a reminder.)

Kill23

…And as the wire returns from where it has been fired, she is sucked inside Gamagoori’s armor. 10/10 pure genius.

Kill24

Without her scissor blade, she has another plan: first of all, activating Senketsu’s powers…

Kill25

…Aaaand that’s pretty much it. Yup. Spikes!! (because a Kamui can change its form too. I mean, a Goku’s Uniform can and has only 30% life fibers, a 100% life fibers Kamui can do it better! Am I right?)

Kill26

*riiiiip*

Kill27

Having Gamagoori’s life fibers exposed, Ryuuko catches an easy victory by dealing her final blow. You fought well anyway, Gamagoori.

Kill28

Satsuki prevents a crying and ashamed Gamagoori to commit suicide in front of anyone. “Just wipe your tears by yourself”.

Kill29

I felt so sorry for him ;_; he failed to protect the one he swore to protect… But I hope he’ll eventually come back in the future, I really liked him thanks to this episode.

Kill30

Lastly, the episode ends with the fierce look of the next fighter, as he gets on the stage.
Yes, him: The blue-haired four-eyes.

Kill31

See you next week!

Kill La Kill – Episode 9 – Part 1/2

Damn, It doesn’t matter how many times I’m going to write this, I’m always going to remind every reader of every post the same thing: Just watch Kill la Kill, it gets better and better as each episode is released. Though this episode’s overall storyline was kinda obvious and expected, I liked it a lot. We get to see lots of amazing battle scenes, as well as some more flashbacks about the main characters and, obviously, some comedy moments (which is the thing that makes the anime greater than others that seems to be like it).
This episode also raised my love for Gamagoori. I mean, he’s a total badass and I liked his thoughts and actions a lot. Even in the final scene, I loved his reaction. I hope we’ll get to see more of him, even th
On a side note, I’m sorry for everyone waiting for it, the new Gaki no Tsukai clip is currently being translated, but I’m working very slowly… You know, study, university, human relationships… some duties and burdens that I need to get over with. It will be subbed eventually, so fear not! Just keep waiting a little more… Forgive me!
And now, kill la kill #9 (part 1) moments!

KILL LA KILL #9-1 MOMENTS

The episode begins as the previous one ended: Gamagoori and Ryuuko on the stage. We also get to know that Ryuuko is going to fight one after another, and that the order is decided by the number of students that they have defeated during the last few days. Gamagoori is the first, having defeated the fewest number (because he only attacked for self-defense). Next are: Glasses guy, Pink chick and finally our blind Sanegayama.

Kill01

…But the fight against Gamagoori is not going to start until it will be 13:00, the time set for the match. How could she accept this decision? That’s only 8 A.M.!

Kill02

…Neverming, f*ck it. Looks like Ryuuko has some free time to spend. (can’t argue against prefect Gamagoori when it comes to rules)

Kill03

The battle of Ryuuko against the elite four (lol, kinda reminds me of pokémon-) is going to be broadcasted to everyone in the city. That’s why, meanwhile, in Makanshoku’s house begins the journey to find a working television.

Kill04

While Ryuuko is having lunch with her friend Mako, she’s interrupted by her teacher, who immobilizes Mako and forces Ryuuko to retreat, by telling her that fighting against the elite four one after another is the worst decision she could possibly make.

Kill05

“GTFO I’m having lunch with my best friend. Let her go and get the f*ck away” – Gently replied Ryuuko. She’s a hothead, isn’t she? That’s what I like about her.

Kill06

13 o’clock. Time to start the battle between Ryuuko and Honnouji’s Academy’s Unbreakable Shield: Gamagoori Ira.

Kill07

Welp, that’s it. I’m out of this review.
…Okay, leaving the jokes aside, what the hell is this armor? It surely was something.
Yup, something.
Something regrettable.

Kill08

[Intense Stare]

Kill09

[Most badass stare ever]
…In other words, no one is doing anything. That’s because Gamagoori’s armor is released once he gets hit by someone, and Ryuuko, knowing this, is not going to hit him.

Kill10

Ok, that was clever of you, Mr. Masochist Gamagoori.

Kill11

By doing so, Gamagoori gains enough fire power to store energy…

Kill12

…And release the true form of his Goku’s Uniform: Scourge Regalia.
Is Ryuuko going to be in deep sh*t?

Kill13

Part 2 coming out tomorrow!
~Shion

Kill la Kill – Episode 8

Once again, a delayed post on sunday, which means that this won’t be cut in two halves.
This week’s episode was filled with flashback and action, I liked it a lot.
I’m no more bound on the opinion that Kill la Kill is like Panty & Stocking, because it is more serious and way more epic, but I like them both anyway.
Of course, Kill la Kill’s stupid moments are far greater than most animes, and that helps me appreciate it.
As I’ve probably said before, what I don’t like about Kill la Kill is the excessive fanservice.
Ryuuko is so badass and masculine that fanservice on her is kinda wrong and hard to accept, in my opinion.
Well, not that I can complain about it, it’s from the same creators of Gurren Lagan.
Lastly, seems like after this episode we’ll get to see the action we waited for, aka Ryuuko vs Elite Four. Can’t wait until next episode-
Let’s cut the chit-chat and see the review and best moments of episode 8!
(For everyone wondering about it, probably next Gaki no Tsukai video will be out before next Kill la Kill post. I hope so!)

KILL LA KILL #8 MOMENTS

I’ve kinda forgot to mention that last episode (episode 7) ended with Satsuki’s decision to set the rules of Honnouji’s accademy anew, and so it begins: the struggle for the power where every student attempt to destroy each other in order to gain a higher uniform, a higher status, a better life.

Kill01

Obviously, Satsuki is protected by a virtual shield. I’m sorry Ryuuko, but she seems to be the last boss, you can’t just fight against her in the eight episode out of 25!

Kill02

And so, while every student is fighting with all their might in order to raise…

Kill03

…The Makanshoku family enjoys their days of slumber. Being a 0 star family, they have nothing to gain and nothing to lose, and so Mako doesn’t need to fight at school.
(So, they eventually learned the lesson from the previous episode, uh…)

Kill04

Meanwhile, Ryuuko takes a ride on the scooter lent by Mato’s father (since when he had a scooter?)
—Anyway, Mako hops in for no reason. Can’t complain, and Ryuuko seems to be fine with having Mako with her. Senketsu, however, is being strangled by Mako’s arms as she holds Ryuuko’s waist.

Kill05

Ryuuko’s destination was the Matoi’s residence, in other words her former house. She’s here to find out something new about her father’s death, but…

Kill06

…SUDDENLY FLASHBACK! We get to see Ryuuko’s age progression, threatened by other people, distant from her father and without a mother, she grew up becoming a total badass bully. I love how she looks in this pic.

Kill07

Funny thing is that the exact same day her father contacted her saying that he wanted to talk with her daughter, Ryuuko finds his father stabbed with the scissor blade inside his devasted house. Oh, by the way, you look nice, gramps.

Kill08

Why this happened? Who’s the culprit?
But most important thing…
Why is her father talking about philosophical sh*t instead of telling her who’s the culprit? Oh God.
Anyway, Ryuuko gets a glimpse of the culprit, and decides to follow him/her/it/wat.

Kill09

We get a glimpse of the culprit’s shadow too. Silky black hair that waves in the wind. We could obviously assume that she was Satsuki, but it’s really her? I think they’re just trying to confuse us. It would be way too expected by everyone.

Kill10

Without knowing what he wanted to say to Ryuuko, nor who killed him and the reason behind this, the Matoi’s mansion is set to fire. R.I.P., Gramps. [/flashback]

Kill11

After having activated Senketsu, Ryuuko destroys the floor in order to find some more informations beneath the mansion, but nothing was found. I love Ryuuko’s eyes in this frame.

Kill12

The scooter stops midway on their way back. As expected from good ol’ Makanshoku’s family! But…

Kill13

…Gamagoori appears! In a fashionable pink car, too! He offers Ryuuko and Mako a ride, promising he won’t attack them.
…Obviously, because he’s going to fight against her in the school’s field the last day of the hellish natural selection.

Kill14

As soon as they hop in, Gamagoori, being a three-star-uniform user, becomes targeted by lesser school clubs, the soft gun clubs and the car club (which now are allied).
…And, those guys are ugly as f*ck.

Kill15

You ruined Gamagoori’s fashinable car. You’re gonna f*cking pay for this.
…BUT BEFORE THAT…

Kill16

SUDDENLY FLASHBACK! (part 2)
We get to see how Gamagoori met Satsuki.
While he tried to save a bullied kid, he failed to preserve the order and rules of the school in which he was a committee member.

Kill17

But Satsuki came, save the bullied kid, kicked the bullies’ asses and made Gamagoori a sex slave (??)
[/flashback]

Kill18

And that’s Gamagoori’s masochist’s uniform! Basically, he gains more fire power the more hits he gets. A complete Masochist.

Kill19

And after beating the living cr*p out of everyone, everything goes back to normal. Gamagoori rides Ryuuko to a gas station and promises her that they’ll fight soon.

Kill20

The day has finally come, and as Satsuki watches everyone from atop the school building, everyone gets ready to brawl.

Kill21

After the battle begins, 5 pillars emerge from the eart: whoever gets on the top of them will be prized by entering Satsuki’s Elite. Epic frame. Epic musics starts: Ryuuko is aiming to get on the top of one of those things.

Kill22

Secret Brawling Skill: GTFO-Style scissor swinging.

Kill23

Unreasonable Rush Art: Fuck Gravity.

Kill24

…And lastly, by using her amazing physics-defying skills, Ryuuko gets on the top of one pillar. Of course, the other four pillars are occupied by…

Kill25

…The elite four. So, now that everything is settled, a stage appears in the middle of the pillars, and Ryuuko lands on it.

Kill26

And Gamagoori joins her, opening a challenge against her.

Kill27

With this epic frame, the episode ends. Next week we’ll surely see how they are goin- OH WAIT, DAT ASS!

Kill28

See you next episode!

Kill La Kill – Episode 7 – Part 2/2

Aaand, here’s part two.
Talking about other stuff, I’m gonna sub a new gaki no tsukai clip very soon (which is somewhat short, but at least is longer than 5 minutes!).
Also, I have started watching several animes which I have no time to continue, like Evangelion, Sayounara Zetsubou Sensei 2, Kaiji 2 and Yamato Nadeshiko no Shichi-Henge… If only I had the time to watch them…
I’m only watching Kill la Kill, Samurai Flamenco, Uchuu Kyoudai and Noukome as they are released, I have no time for non-ongoing animes. I should find some spare time, uh…

KILL LA KILL #7-2 MOMENTS

Ok, let’s check the situation one more time: the Makanshoku family has become rich. Mako’s father just became a pimp, her mother an high class b*tch and her brother a young pimp, like her father…

Kill19

…And Guts got all the b*tches. Literally.

Kill20

Mako is becoming very diligent, and she’s raising the family’s richness…

Kill21jpg

…Thanks to Ryuuko’s efforts, who’s fighting every single club in Honnouji’s Accademy.

Kill22

…Which only results in loneliness. Probably being rich is not the thing that makes one really happy. Can you hear this echo? It sounds like this: “CLICHEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE'”

Kill23

And so, Ryuuko decides to leave the club. Because richness is not everything, and Mako and her family must know this too!

Kill24

And Lady Satsuki appears, giving a 2 star Goku’s Uniform to Mako, in order to have her fight agains Ryuuko. Nice one, Satsuki-sama.

Kill25

The confrontation is unavoidable: Ryuuko wants Mako to give up on her club which is ruining her and her family, and Mako wants to keep all the profit she gained, in order to have a normal life instead of living inside of a dirty old and small house. Let’s Fight..!

Kill26

(On a side note, it’s funny how Mako’s family is there cheering for her and not caring a single bit about Ryuuko’s words of wisdom)

Kill27

No matter how many punches Ryuuko is getting from her friend, she’s not going to hit her. How could she resist if the kamui is not even activated yet?

Kill28

But soon Mako realizes it. She notices that Ryuuko is not trying to stop her, because she has all the reason in the world to keep her money and wealth.

Kill29

…BUT SHE GIVES UP TO THE POWER OF HAPPINESS INSTEAD OF THE POWER OF MONEY!! WE NEVER EXPECTED THIS! [/ironic]
Also, dem tears. She could fill up the whole Pacific Ocean.

Kill30

Mako’s family follows Mako. They strip off the high-class clothes they’re wearing and trusts Ryuuko’s words…

Kill31

And they’re back on the good ol’ Makanshoku’s slum! A nice (AND TOTALLY UNEXPECTED OMG1!!11!!) final!

Kill32

…And then, the most useless cliffhanger ever, with Satsuki-sama smirking and shouting nonsense. Duh.

Kill33

See you next episode!!

Kill la Kill – Episode 7 – Part 1/2

Once again, the new post is coming out way too late. I apologize, that’s not my fault: sh*t happens.
Anyway, we’re back with another great episode of Kill la Kill.
This episode gets back on the track of “Kill la kill is a demential anime” way of thinking.
I seriously don’t know how to approach this anime anymore: it starts as a demential anime, then it suddenly gets shounen, then retarded again, then shounen again, then it gets stupid one more time… That’s so confusing.
Episode 7 is somewhat similar to those american cartoons with the typical moral ending.
I found the whole episode kinda hilarious, and the message (if we can call it this way) hidden inside of it, was, imho, kinda pointless and cliché.
“One is happy not when he has money, but when he has happines itself!11<1! something money can't buy!11"
I'm sorry, moral, but after Kaiji I don't believe anymore in this thing not even a little.
Anyway, I originally intended not to cut in half this post, but there are so many things in this episode that if I don't cut it, it will become one of the longest thing ever since the bible.
Ok, everything is set: Let's begin with the first half's moments!

Kill La Kill #7-1 moments

The episode starts with a nice scene: everyone happily together, enjoying their dinner (which could poison them all). How lovely!

Kill01

Having dinner together with Mako’s family, for Ryuuko is like having a family herself. Being an orphan, she never had one except for her father (which later passed out), and so she’s so happy with her current situation. Even having a bath would be nice for her…

Kill02

…If the men of Makanshoku’s family stop peeping.

Kill03

And another day at Honnouji’s Academy begins! And as soon as it starts, new clubs are after Ryuuko. This guy is from the knife throwing club. Pretty specific, uh?

Kill04

Looks like he didn’t last long enough to have a minimal battle scene, though. Oh well…

Kill05

And here’s the next challenger! The leader of the… uh… bondage… club? I have no idea, but probably his ability are strong enough to have Ryuuko struggle a lit-

Kill06

…Never mind. But I’m positive next one will be a fierce enemy!

Kill07

And there she is! Leader of the Tightrope Walking club! I’m sure she w-

Kill08

Seriously?! Isn’t the episode progressing a little bit too fast?!

Kill09

Anyway, looks like having a strong club raises your rank in Honnouji Academy. Having your rank raised, means a better place to live, more money and overall an easier life (and that’s why there were those specific clubs which splitted from the original circus club). Having heard this, Ryuuko decided to make her own “Fight Club”, in order to have Mako’s family’s living conditions improved.

Kill10

…But being a club leader is a burden. That’s exactly what Mako is here for!

Kill11

And so the club slaughter continues…

Kill12

..And the fight club manages to gain more and more power…

Kill13

…which finally allows the Makanshoku family to live in a normal house!

Kill14

Just look how happy they look eating a 100% pure meat croquette instead of the typical mystery croquette!

Kill15

HOLY F*CK, JUST LOOK AT HIM FOR F*CK’S SAKE. JUST F*CKING LOOK AT F*CKING GUTS, F*CK IT.

Kill16

But having a normal house doesn’t mean that the fight club activity are over. In fact, they continue fighting against the other clubs…

Kill17

…Until they become very, very, very rich.
But is richness the same thing as happiness?

Kill18

Part 2 coming out tomorrow!

Kill la Kill – Episode 6

-This episode’s post won’t be cut in two half because of its release delay!-
First of all: Good news.
Apparently, Kill la Kill is going to be a 25 episodes long anime, in other words it will end in spring 2014. That’s absolutely great.
I also intend to keep this anime-moments thing just for an anime per season, so probably from now until spring, there will be only kill la kill in here (even though I’m rather intrigued by an upcoming winter 2014 anime…)
Anyway, let’s talk about this episode a little.
It got the vibe of the first episodes, but there are several differences.
The plot is getting more and more outlined as the the episode’s count progresses, and the randomness is slowly decreasing, leaving less gags in each episodes and more action / shonen stuff.
I think there won’t be any new episode as random and panty-and-stocking-styled as episode 3.
Well, I’m fine with it anyway: both the random and the shonen parts are great, imho.
That’s enough of an intro to me, let’s check the first half’s moments.

KILL LA KILL #6 MOMENTS

Ryuuko wakes up inside the house of her sexual harasser teacher, and she realize that he’s allied with the punk badass from the previous episodes. She asks for reasons: weren’t they against Lady Satsuki? Why are they targeting Ryuuko now?

Kill01

The reason is NUUUUUUDIIIIIST BEAAAAAAAAAACH. Ryuuko thinks that’s bullshit. Can’t complain. Opening follows next.

Kill02

Experiments on life fibers go on. I seriously want the coat this guy is wearing.

Kill03

Meanwhile, Sanegayama, one of the elite four of Satsuki’s party, asks Lady Satsuki to let him fight against Ryuuko. He also tried to sneak behind Satsuki but he’s noticed by her before showing up.

Kill04

Flashback time! Back then when Satsuki was an aggressive loli, young Sanegayama challenged her and her gang in a fierce duel! Sanegayama’s army agains Satsuki’s party, which was…

Kill05

…composed by: Loli Satsuki, The guy which destroyed the school in the first minute of the first episode which somewhat looks older than now, The guy with the amazing moving coat and the loli pink-haired musician with a monkey r@pin’ her leg.

Kill06

Just moving her eyes, the army of Sanegayama is defeated. Mary Sue anyone? However. Sanegayama managed at least to get close to her before being defeated, and Satsuki liked his attitude, and asks him to join her party. [/flashback]

Kill07

Meanwhile, an A Class b*tch makes a phone call to Satsuki. That’s probably her mother, but I have no idea whatsoever.

Kill08

The next day, Ryuuko founds a bulletin board on the school’s gate, in which there’s written a challenge message. She has to face off Sanegayama at the dojo.

Kill09

Not thinking about it one more time, Ryuuko goes to the dojo. It seems that Goku’s uniforms can transform too, and we get to see the transformation of Sanegayama’s uniform. TRANSFORMERS!

Kill10

He’s strong, fast and skilled enough to make Ryuuko unable to hit him. But Ryuuko finds out the source of he’s strenght.

Kill11

…His eyes. He only relies on his eyes to strike his attacks. Noticing that, Ryuuko slices off a piece of her Senketsu, which blinded Sanegayama…

Kill12

…Aaaand he’s defeated. I kinda missed this scene.

Kill13

…But! He doesn’t give up yet! Meanwhile, Mako is analyzing his shrimp. And she seems disappointed.

Kill14

Treated as a disgraceful member on the elite four party, he’s blocked by the others, and he’s not able to ask Ryuuko a second match. He dare to ask directly to Lady Satsuki, now. Looks like he did something regrettable doing so, but it also seems he had some reasons to do this.

Kill15

It seems his request was accepted by Lady Satsuki. Giving another chance to one who was beaten? Lady Satsuki and Sanegayama must have had a good reason for this…

Kill16

Without wasting further time, Ryuuko uses the same technique she used in the previous battle, blinding him. But something went wrong, and Sanegayama attacks Ryuuko anyway.

Kill17p

That Sanegayama guy shut his eyes. In order not to rely only on what he sees. WHAT.

Kill17pr

And it seems he asked the guy with the blonde ponytail from the lab to do so. Good for you, Sanegayama!

Kill17

Ryuuko is being beaten up everywhere, and she relies on her last chance: an ambush. She connects her blade with a wire, and without moving throws it towards her enemy.

Kill18

Completely uneffective. Sanegayama’s other senses became so sharp he can now see “the entire universe”. Wow, that’s so shounen-like. What happened to my wtf-moments?

Kill19

A violent strike to her head and Ryuuko is impaled to the ground. Tom & Jerry did this several years ago.

Kill20

Luckily for Ryuuko, Sanegayama’s Goku’s Uniforms overheats, and its power wore off. In the meanwhile, she safely gets the f*ck away.

Kill21

Ahh, dear Ryuuko. You now know what it’s like to be the protagonist of a shounen anime…

Kill22

Sanegayama and Satsuki meets again, this time Satsuki didn’t even notice him, which was right in front of her.

Kill23

After refusing the tea Satsuki promised him, he leaves Satsuki’s room like a boss. Damn, he’s badass too. This anime is full of badasses.

Kill24

I liked the whole episode, but I needed a little more randomness and nonsense. Oh well, not a big deal.
See you next week!
