Antihoney – The Sun Sets Twice

I love Antihoney, and today I accidentally stumbled upon an old japanese song called “Makka na Taiyou” by Misora Hibari. I knew those lyrics sounded familiar. I could get the lyrics for “The Sun Sets Twice” from it: turns out it’s actually a cover of it. I didn’t know that.

Antihoney – The Sun Sets Twice

makka ni moeta taiyou dakara
manatsu no umi wa koi no kisetsu na no

The red sun was burning in deep red
And so the season of love enshrouded the midsummer sea

itsuka wa shizumu taiyou dakara
namida ni nureta koi no kisetsu na no

But the Sun too will eventually sink down
And so the season of love got wet by my tears

ai no kodoku umi ni nagashite
moeru kokoro koi no tokimeki
wasurezu nokosu tame

Let this lovelessness flow in the sea
So you’ll feel you heart burning in a love
Of unforgettable, everlasting beats

itsuka wa shizumu taiyou dakara
namida ni nureta koi no kisetsu na no
koi no kisetsu na no

The Sun too will eventually sink down
And so the season of love got wet by my tears
That’s the season of love

1993-born italian guy, I have few degrees in japanese language & culture and I'm currently advancing in my studies. I love music but I'm too self-destructive to attempt to produce it myself. Sometimes I gaze at my shoes and think it's a nice genre. Mainly translating Gaki no Tsukai clips / full episodes (worked with Team Gaki and Tofupanda too) and occasionally translating music (doujin / indie / shoegaze / touhou).
