[Nostalgia post warning]
Sometimes I like to scroll down through old stuff just for fun, and each time it’s always like this: finding something I almost forgot about.
I will find a star is a song arranged by Yuyoyuppe, which dates back to July 2011 if not even before.
As most of Yuyoyuppe’s songs, it was originally planned to be a Vocaloid song, but this post’s content are about calo‘s version (well, I guess nothing changes in terms of lyrics…).
Anyway, I used to love this song back then. I don’t even know why. Probably because I always loved Yuyoyuppe, calo and draw the emotional‘s works a lot, but I don’t think that’s just it.

ゆよゆっぺ ft. calo – I will find a star

kimi ga omoi egaku sora chiribameta yume
ano hi mitsuketa taisetsuna mono

Your dreams enchased on the sky you imagine
Are something precious you’ve found back on that day

donna tsurekute mo ano hikari dake wa
itsumo kawarazu ni kagayaiteita

No matter how much pain you’ll have to endure,
That light will keep on shine forever, unchanged…

tatoe zutto, motto tooku natte
todokanaku natta tte
kawarani yo nijimanai yo
dokoka de hikatteru

And even if it will become farther and farther
To the point you can’t reach for it
It won’t change, it won’t blur away,
It’ll be shining somewhere

so, I will find a star

kakageta hibi o omoidashite
ue o miagete yo hora
mata egao ni naru
so, I will find a star

So remember those days you left hanging
And look up they sky: see?
Your smile came back again
so, I will find a star

waraenai koto bakari de shizunda yoru ni
nani ka hajiketa soko ni mebaeta

On a gloomy night made just of things we couldn’t laugh at
Something splitted open and sprouted just there…

yukusaki o kobamu ano kurayami sae
norikoete yukeru sonna ki ga shita

And we had this kind of feeling, as if we could overcome
Even this darkness which is setting us away from our futures

namida-iro ni kawaru ikusen no kotobatachi
kimi ga waraeta nara kamawanai, sore dake de ii

Thousands of words have turned into the color of tears
But if you would have laughed I wouldn’t care, that alone will be good

donna tsurakute mo sono hikari dake wa
kimi no mune no naka kagayaiteru yo

No matter how much pain you’ll have to endure,
That light is shining brightly in your heart

tatoe zutto, motto tooku natte
kieteshimai sou datte
kwaranai yo nijimanai yo
dokoka de waratteru

And even if it will become farther and farther
To the point it’ll seem to disappear
It won’t change, it won’t blur away,
It’ll be smiling, somewhere

so, I will find a star

kakageta hibi o omoidashite
ue o miageta yo hora
mata egao ni naru
so, I will find a star

So remember those days you left hanging
And look up they sky: see?
Your smile came back again
so, I will find a star

About foregroundnoises

I'm a 23 y.o. italian guy, I have a degree in japanese language & culture and I'm currently advancing in my studies. I love music but I'm too self-destructive to attempt to produce it myself. Sometimes I gaze at my shoes and think it's a nice genre. Mainly translating japanese music lyrics (Touhou / doujin / indie / etc) and Gaki no Tsukai clips (worked with Team Gaki too).
